What's new

Make in India fails to quench nation's dependence on made in China goods

Yes - I agree to the above analysis. But all the other countries you mentioned have a high level of transparency.
The problem in China remains that it doesn't. It's sheer population size gives it a massive cushion

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/12/28/china-debt-vs-china-growth-beijing-faces-big-questions-in-2018.html
Opaqueness or transparency hasn't affected that trend so far...I don't know how u can reach the conclusion of a Ponzi scheme just bcuz of China being opaque in many aspects.

If something is opaque all one can say...is that there isn't enough info on hand for a thorough analysis.

Ok, fair enough. But why the opacity? The thing with bubbles like the housing bubble in the US was that it was caught because of transparency. Else, when the bubble eventually burst maybe a few years or even a decade later, just how overheated would the economy be? The weird thing about China is - no one knows.

Are the world's longest highways, railways, hign speed railways, subways, bridges and tunnels, world's biggest and best ports, railway stations, airports, burgeoning modern cities... not transparent enough for a sighted person to see? How about manned space stations, world's fastest trains and computers? None is so blind than those we refuse to see.
Yes - you are right - that is great. But that is infrastructure development and not what I am talking about. China has given an impetus to urban infrastructure.

The opaqueness is just how they choose to do things. It's not just economy related...there are many different areas where China doesn't openly share info for whatever reason...it doesn't matter. They don't owe it to the world to announce/publish everything.

Even if we just take that argument of a bubble, or Ponzi scheme, or something like that at face value...still u shouldn't worry bcuz u(or India) have nothing to lose in that case.

But a backward agricultural country like India....OK! Provide your best railway picture. Come on, let me see what's the best railway in India.

I'm sorry for BD brothers, I can't distinguish between Bangladesh and India railway. If I provide the Bangladeshi railway, please give me a hint.

No, India doesn't. Although I do believe the shockwaves will be felt by all including India. Trolling these 50 cent fanboys aside, China's economy is a behemoth. So in a way, they do owe it to the world to make their accounting processes transparent. That has no military or territorial implications - so it is not a security risk to them anyway.

No they don't owe it to the world. If u r an investor who wants to invest in a business...but that business doesn't fully disclose its growth figures, profit/loss, etc. to u...and u still invest then that's on u. No need to blame that business for opaqueness. So if according to u China is indeed running some Ponzi scheme then it's a worry for China and the ppl involved/invested in Chinese economy.

Lovely India baby. Please don't make international jokes. I want to see is the best India train, not these cheap ornaments. Poor sample project. At this point, India has reached North Korean level.

If you enter the civilized world, you will see the real advance!

Kenya railway. Advanced 30 years than India.

LOL - Little China baby - you asked for the pics of the best Indian trains - it's a shame you can't digest that your country has nothing like that. Maybe once you get on your yak and cross over as a refugee you will get to see these trains in the flesh. No communist propaganda. Just facts.

Then we disagree - which is fine.
I think we care too much about India. It's not necessary, after all, India is the BBB- country (the S & P rating). The whole world knows that India is garbage. So it doesn't need to be serious.

No, even now, I can still see the propaganda of the "superpower" in India.
Oh, so Indians think - cheap decoration is the best train?
OK, after all, low IQ and 400 million illiterates. I don't expect them to know the world.

but.... India is still lagging behind Kenya for 30 years.

Lol. Cheap decoration? The civilized democratic world doesn't think.

Grapes are sour. China baby doesn't have anything in the same ballpark. Cry me a river.

Lolllllllll... Lovely India baby, India is really not in the civilized world, you really can't understand civilization. But you should understand hunger.

These cheap ornaments do not really prove that you are the best train, even if you put these ornaments in the cow.
Cow is always a cow. But consider that you are a low IQ illiterate. I still forgive you.

Kenya train, the highest speed - 120km / 1h. sorry, this is the speed you can't understand.

Lol. Still typing gibberish. Sure, CNN is wrong. World travel magazines are wrong. But a semi literate Chinese 50 cent keyboard warrior foaming at his mouth at his laughable country and spouting Communist propaganda is right. Hahahahaha. It is one thing to make a $5 iPhone charger which China can and another to sell a $5000 train ticket. Little China baby - entertaining the world with your antics.

Few Indians can effort luxury trains. Most Indians travel on the roof.

Oh no poor Indian baby, there is no mistake in the world, and there is no mistake in the travel magazine. But you are low IQ. So you don't know the world.

Cheap ornaments can't change your junk train. It's not any publicity, but you don't know the civilization world. After all, it's too far away from you.

Even if these cheap ornaments look beautiful, they can't change the shit on the rail. It's like a flower. It can never cover up the smell of shit pit. This is not the propaganda of anyone, but the reality of India.

Just curious, were these luxury trains left over from the British empire. Are you touting the achievements of British in India?
