Majority of Pakistanis for 'Islamisation' of society: Poll

. .
israel is illegal state pakistan is ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN

hmm..interesting..though I have no concern whatsoever whether Israel is legal or illegal, still I am interested to know the definition of 'illegal state' from you.

Religion, to atheists like me is nothing but a figment of man's imagination, i'll rather serve my nation than sitting in front of an idol all day.

. . .
U N O recognize as a illegal by making small towns in west bank ghaza in the part of plestine .....now thats also illegal
yeah, but still its not an illegal state, lets get this legality debate stopped you will your arguments i will have mine lol btw i am no supporter of Israel it may sound odd for an indian to say that but they have mistreated palestinians all along and i dont like that.

It's a meaningless poll.

Religion, almost by definition, stays with you even after death. If you are Muslim (or Christian or Jewish), you will remain Muslim (or Christian or Jewish) in the afterlife. Presumably, it is the same in Hinduism and Buddhism.

However, nationality is a feature of this world only. It has no meaning after you die.

It is in that sense that some people put religion before nation. Let's not try to read too much into this poll.

The current environment in India is strikingly similiar to the nationalistic fervor that existed in Germany of the 40's.

The reason for the new found nationalistic spirit sweeping across all Indian communities is mostly ,the media.

I have noticed several times, popular media outlets spreading nationalistic messages subtly. An average Indian living in India gets exposed to a lot of nationalistic ideas, messages on a daily basis......explicitly or subtly...whether its work, school, or leisure. This tends to have lasting/permanent effect on individuals.

Even while you consider the Indian school curriculum, you can see that a huge chunk of it promote "indian-ness" and "brotherhood". New generation of Indians coming out are quite nationalistic regardless of religion or caste.

In our schools, we begin with a pledge after singing the national anthem which starts like this..."India is my country. All Indians are my brothers and sisters.........etc etc".

We are being taught to think as "indians" and to contribute positively to the nation.

I suppose these majority people automatically expect and suspect the minority of doing the same.

Just one more reason to teach them a lesson!
