Why would you feel bad? Old China fucked up and paid for it. No one denies it, it's a fact. New China learned from past mistakes unlike many other fallen empires and will soon become a great superpower. Egypt rose and fell. Rome rose and fell. The Great Caliphate rose and fell. China is the only empire to have risen, fallen, and risen again multiple times through history. 50 years from now, China will probably be the most powerful country to ever exist and you feel bad for it? The only problem I have with Chinese and Arabs you guys look through only the glass half full and from monetary aspect, which is only half the story.

Chinese are nothing like the cowardly Arab rulers. China has always punched far above its weight in military affairs, defeating enemies with equal or higher GDP, while Arab governments cannot defeat enemies that have a fraction of their GDP.

In the eyes of foreigners it sure is unbelievable. How China has risen from the f..k up of the late Qing Dynasty, the fight against the Japanese, the Chinese Civil war, Korean War. Under the leadership of CCP, contributions by (overseas) compatriots China overcame all the obstacles, grew with double digit growth, established itself as a nuclear power, become a space power, technological powerhouse and in 7-8 years the biggest economy in the world kicking USA aside. Chinese must be feeling very bad too.

Why then West do not confronts 100% oriental Japan, Korea and West Asian countries like Turkey or Arabian states?
