Major Changes Ahead on JF-17 Block-3

.
Not to be incorporated within JF but...

Is it possible to engineer a gel/acid that literally eats through steel/aluminum?

It can have an interesting application within the realms of Autonomous Aerial and Ground based pods......

Imagine a stealthy platform (size of your hand) sitting right next to the enemy tank - All it needs is to spray that lethal mix on a vital part....As soon as a vital part becomes obsolete (imagine an engine or transmission etc) - Basically that platform is a sitting duck...And most of it can be done autonomously/tactical teams can have few of these on the front line....

You could equip that platform with something similar to IED but I guess it won't really do anything against a tank or a well engineered vehicle.

This concentrated gel can also take on aerial assets.....Imagine an aerial asset that is really stealthy sneaks up to the enemy aircraft (while the aircraft is engaged with numerous decoys/other assets) and all it needs is to....

War is not really won by weapons that everyone knows about.. Surprises and well developed tactics go a long way...

Ultimately having a mix of different platforms can increase options...

What I have analyzed is that various military innovations consider "nature" shapes of birds etc

Cephalopod ink is another tactic employed....

It can also be used against soldiers in addition to hand sized pods equipped with a drill machine.. Recognition system on board to make it fully autonomous.

Dual seats and good simulators can help reduce the airframe hours across the fleet. That is how the Jews use their F-16 dual seaters. Also, they reduce the cost per hour for keeping their F-15 pilots trained by getting part of their flight hours on simulators and F-16 dual seaters.

for block 3 i am interested
whether an IRST and additional hrdpoints will come
whther the rd 93 MA or chinese new variant will find space
whther CFT or increase fuel will be added
in short whther it would be a simple update or a whole new gripen NG like update

for 2 years delay i am hoping its the later, PAF is not getting f-16s any more, we know that, so it needs a more comprehensive update

U r a n for a surprise... Do not expect lots of mods externally

An interesting side effect of dual seat JF-17s is they will reduce the hours on airframes for PAF F-16s. Whose pilots can use it for a portion of their needed flight hours.

This was first disclosed by AFM article on iaf the flight per hours for f-15 at the time was 25-35k vs f-16 half of it and they had their f-15 pilot do half half to cut operational cost plus preserve airframe hours

Is the Design/Airframe going to be the same or change?
Based on JF-17B as per various senior members here on PDF, and why you think its design will change, if design will change there will be no more JF-17 but becoming JF-19 or some thing like that because it will be structurally and mechanically different from JF-17, so why you think that BLOCK-3 design will change @Hassan Guy o_O

Hi,

F16, F15, F18 have many a changes---they still maintain their original names---.

I guess they would understand better if you tell them in terms of car (models widely available in Pakistan), every year Honda makes certain changes to its Honda Civic model and changes are both cosmetic (styling) and under the hood but it does not make it a different model, it remains the same... Actually Toyota Corolla is an even better example.

Hi,

Thank you---I have done that in the past many a times---. But for our pakistani kids---you have to explain it to each individual seperately when they enter the room.

Exactly, multiple times I have to repeat our two year discussions on JF17 since they don't read the already available stuff and want to be fed each time.

All they need to know is that any structural and avionic changes that do not result in the role and category/class change of the aircraft do not warrant a new name or number. F-16C or F-16V may be very different from F-16A of the block 40's but it does not change its position in the USAF line up and keeps its role and class same.. a light to medium multi-role fighter,... No amount of changes in JF17's airframe will change that it is a lightweight multirole fighter....even if we increase the size by 10%.

Hi,

Well---that tells you how illiterate are kids are---and how much lack of knowledge is out there---.
