customer care should rather redirect the calls to the esteemed chairman water and power board general so and so . These guys have "decades of experience " managing anything and everything.

At least in other countries, wealthy people allow the most competent people run the country, and sit back and enjoy the benefits.

I don’t understand, if it’s just ego that prevents this from being the case in Pakistan.
Our elite is busy filling the top positions in the country with their lackeys - either for political reasons or to expand their own family influence. Our entire bureaucracy is incompetent- it was a slow process that started in the 70s courtesy Bhutto. I thought that the army was still competent but this notion is also being dispelled.

If they have no oil for power generation, how are they getting diesel and petrol for transportation?

Pakistan is in dark ,in every sense of the word.
