The Ghaznavid Kingdom was a tribal Kingdom. Thats why it declined after the death of Mahmud.
On the other hand the Chola Dynasty was a major Dynasty which produced several great rulers.
The southern Indian rulers of the Vijayanagar Empire were the ones who defeated the Turkic invaders
of the Delhi Sultanate and who drove the Turkic invaders out of south India.
Krishna Devaraya of the Vijayanagar Empire even received the title "destroyer of the Turks" after
