Maersk CEO Reveals ‘Ironic’ Twist in U.S. Trade War With China

umm, you post what the author said, not what Mr Skou said.

Smooshy Singa Chino Wannabe LOL
Ya and the reporter was falsifying the CEO's words.

The man running the world’s largest container-shipping company says he has access to data that shows Donald Trump has so far failed to wean the U.S. off Chinese imports.

The Maersk CEO also warned that China is having an easier time finding substitutes for U.S. products than the U.S. is in replacing Chinese imports.

Keep diverting, CEO-wannabe.

Lie more like what people of your kind always do.

Hahaha.

Oh My god. Just exactly how Gullible are you?

The man running the world’s largest container-shipping company says he has access to data that shows Donald Trump has so far failed to wean the U.S. off Chinese imports.

This is what the author said (notice he use "third person" or "The man") if this is what Skou said, would he use "The man" to describe himself?

The Maersk CEO also warned that China is having an easier time finding substitutes for U.S. products than the U.S. is in replacing Chinese imports.

Same thing, this is what the author said, as he use "The Maersk CEO" as a pronoun, if this is what Skou said, would he put "the Maersk CEO", which is himself, as the pronoun?

So, where exactly these pronoun leads to? He (Skou) must have said something to be able to reference in this case, now, point me to that reference as to where Mr Skou said US failed to Wean off Chinese Import or it is harder for US to find substitute for Chinese import.

LOL smooshy must have slack off during English Class, oh wait, maybe he learn Chinese in Singapore? LOL smooshy go wrack. Maybe ask smooshy mommy to give you a dictionary for Christmas?

.
I was being sarcastic of course

When the Chinese propaganda machine starts pumping out articles on how awesome the US-China trade war has been for their exports, you know its hurting them!

Much funnier than what you have written is the fact that the article is from Nikkei quoting the CEO of a major shipping company.

. . .

= Red herring

Need more creativity pls, u can do better than that.

Come on, CEO-wannabe.

I am not talking about just this thread alone obviously. Just go through the threads about trade wars, all chinese sock puppets harping on about how trade war with the US is possibly the best thing that could have happened for chinese exports

Overwhelmingly, the news are from Western media, or the alternative media located in Europe and Russia.

China does never want to humiliate Trump (as he takes it very personally). Hence, China, from its foreign and trade ministers to local officials, is very silent and avoid talking bravado.

China's media, of course, follows the suit. Actually, even at the height of tensions, China's media often argued that trade war would hurt both sides and China would never give unfair concessions.

China does not have to prove anything. Usually, it waits till the reality itself sinks in. In the end, nothing can defy ultimate reality.

Most "US loses trade war" propaganda comes from anti-Trump Western media.

It might be, but doesn't change the fact that it is peddled and fanned by the chinese propaganda machine here on this forum. :azn:

What are you laughing about? Whatever happens with the US-China trade war, India will be a gutter and will remain a gutter forever. Where do you find the temerity to laugh? :)

That's a stupid proposition. So, your smirk is groundless.

One can hardly ignore, for good or for bad, if something appears on Bloomberg or NYT. People will just grab it.

Normally, China Threat Theory and China Collapse Theory work on different (in fact, direct opposite) premises. The first works on the premise of a ginormous China hell bent on gobbling up the US. The second works on the premise of a weak China about to collapse in two or three years of time.

Both narratives are generated mostly in the Western media. Both have their own industry, supply chain, marketing and social benefits. People earn money from it and are able to put bread on the table. They are professional collapsists and threatists.

People on this forum simply reflect them (from either perspectives) and, in fact, reflect only a miserable portion of it.

Indians here do the same: They grab news according to their taste and in order to prove their points.

I personally like to quote from Western media mostly China Threat Theory stuff. It is funnier. Others like China Collapse Theory stuff. It is a matter of taste.

What are you laughing about? Whatever happens with the US-China trade war, India will be a gutter and will remain a gutter forever. Where do you find the temerity to laugh? :)

They will have the last laugh in 2012 when commercial taxis are driven overwhelmingly by Whites.

Foreign direct investment (FDI) into the Chinese mainland continued stable growth in the first ten months of this year thanks to robust manufacturing and high-tech investment.

China's FDI rose 3.3 percent year-on-year to 701.16 billion yuan (about 107.7 billion US dollars) in the January-October period, the Ministry of Commerce said Thursday in a statement.

The number of new overseas-funded companies jumped 89.3 percent from a year earlier to 49,545.

Some 220 billion yuan of foreign investment went to the manufacturing sector, up 12.4 percent from a year ago, while funds pumped into high-tech sectors climbed 11.4 percent, accounting for 22.4 percent of the total FDI.

Investment from the UK surged 175.9 percent, the fastest among China's major investment sources, while investment from countries along the Belt and Road routes saw stable growth of 11.9 percent.

The country's pilot free trade zones saw FDI inflow advance 10.5 percent and account for 12.5 percent of the total FDI.

Thursday's data also showed China's non-financial outbound direct investment rose 3.8 percent to 89.57 billion US dollars, with the bulk going to sectors including business services, manufacturing and retail sales.

Countries along the Belt and Road routes remained attractive destinations, with investment from China up 6.4 percent.
