Madina welfare state a guiding principle for all times: PM Imran

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said that State of Madina established by Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was a guiding principle for the people of all ages as it had not merely focused the betterment of Muslims but the whole humanity.

In his message to the countrymen on Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) being celebrated on Sunday to mark the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the prime minister said Islam had introduced the concept of first welfare state in the human history which was executed by the Holy Prophet and his companions.

He said the high principles being followed by today’s modern welfare states had already been practiced by the Holy Prophet by establishing State of Madina in the age of darkness and the deteriorating society.

Moreover, the companions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) further enriched this concept through ensuring justice and equality in their respective tenures which was the golden chapter of the world history.

Congratulating the people and the Muslim Ummah on Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the prime minister said the Holy Prophet was the embodiment of high morals who had started preaching Islam after getting recognition as truthful and honest.

He said the Holy Prophet (PBUH) had never told lie nor breached the trust. He had not only accepted the norms of other religions but also committed to adhere to those at the time when one could not imagine so.

The prime minister said the Holy Prophet (PBUH), through his good governance, had established such a welfare state that had guaranteed equal rights to everyone besides giving religious freedom to all the citizens.

These were the golden principles of the State of Madina which did not exist in any state of that era, he added.

So where is the welfare state and more importantly you can't fund a welfare state if you are begging for dollars from your brethren in GCC. Mr Imran Khan like all past governments have failed to show us a concrete plan to fix Pakistan's poor economy, his team is made up for mostly corrupt politicians from previous governments so nothing will likely change in Pakistan. He needs to stop listening to peerni and actually listen to qualified experts in economics and politics.

Welfare states are notorious for high taxes you clearly never been to the UK or Nordic countries? Do Pakistanis think welfare state means people get free stuff without paying any taxes?

Poor Imran had to leave someone he loves and his children to appease them, still not enough. So he has become this characture to make them understand how to be civilized.

As long as he has a concrete plan to fix the economy and raise Pakistan's GDP and tax collection then there shouldn't be anything standing in the way of his dream welfare state, I can understand in a country like Pakistan one has to use religious labels in everything to get attention however then he has no right to complain when Mullahs use religion to disrupt everyday life, they're just doing what the Pakistani establishment has been doing since 50s.

Since you live there, can you tell me what's with this long time renovation work going on at big Ben!

BTW, people can live in UK for decades, but would never understand why there's a difference in out look of European infrastructure and that of Pakistan, despite the fact that Pakistani infrastructure is more expensive and laborious.

Good points, and I agree religion has been used by every dic.k and harry to control people of Pakistan. However, to truly evaluate his performance, we need to give him his 5-years. Think of it this way, Nawaz, Zardari were given DECADES of rule. So it is only fair that we give him at least 5-years and then pass the Judgement on him.

But I do have an example where IK has miserably failed and it boils my blood. His "Health Card" scheme for poor people is a disaster. These health Cards are being given to rich people and well-to-do people just because these people knew the local Councillors. And yet, Poor people are suffering every day. And this boils my blood because my question to this douche bag PM is why the F* could you not come with the right implementation method for your F*ing scheme meant for poor people?? How come health cards meant for the defenseless poor people have ended up with Rich people?? If due to some miracle, IK is reading this post, he should be very ashamed of himself for getting this wrong. And if he really does feel for the poor then he needs to immediately take steps to ensure that ONLY poor people get these health cards.

If this is true, can you use the citizens portal to report it?
We can report the exact civil servants who are doing this.

Also, just because rich people are getting it, does not mean poor people are not.
Millions of poor people have got the card, so it's not a "miserable failure"


End of the day, the goal is universal healthcare, for rich and poor.

There is no maulana diesel in your post. You called Islam a "religion of fools for fools"

Yes he definitely deserve his full five years term I would never say remove him because that would be politically unstable for the country and Pakistan cannot afford undemocratic actions right now.

I would also like to make few points as to why PM Imran Khan is failing in his promises and one of the reasons is his team in government. Just switch on the TV and see for yourself 90% PTI ministers are the same faces we have been seeing for decades, from Firdous Ashiq Awan to Khurshid Mahmood Qureshi to Sheikh Rasheed he hasn't brought any change. He promised the youth of Pakistan that they would get the chance to create a better Pakistan yet he has handed Pakistan back to the scum that have been milking Pakistan for so long that Pakistan is reduced to begging to IMF and ''brotherly'' countries. Your example of the health card speaks volumes about his failure to curb corruption.
