What's new

Made in Iran

@lonelyone:
We are also proud of Iran, but just like you should not trust Western propaganda, you should not trust Iranian government propaganda. Taliban is fighting USA and NATO, and fighting them hard, Alhamdulillah. Now, it's NATO and USA that wants talks with Taliban, not the other way around. Taliban did not want the USA/NATO to invade Afghanistan in 2001 itself but USA/NATO wanted no talks, they invaded straightaway and now they are calling for peace-talks.

Also, at least two Arab countries (Syria and Libya) actively supported Iran at some stage or other, and at least another country (Algeria) helped broker "peace" between Iraq and Iran. Most Iraqi Shia Arabs and Kurds also felt closer to Iran than to Saddam. Anyway, let's not sidetrack this thread, politics can be very messy.

Let's look for more achievements by Iranians.

NPC Iran will be second largest commodity chemical producer in the world by 2015. (After DOW Chemical)

Iran is the world's 3rd largest producer of cement

11th in car production (We should be 10th this year)

16th by steel production (surpassing Canada and UK)

16th in electricity production

12th in total automobile production (cars/commercial vehicles)

9th in agricultural production

We Persians are improving greatly :D

Congratulations to Iran. Can you provide any confirmation for all of those statistics? It seems you have forgotten SABIC (from Saudi Arabia), which is also one of the world leaders in its field and currently ahead of Iran's NPC by a big margin also.

Wow I love you Iranian guys! You make all free people of the world (and especially Muslims) proud, that:

* in just 30 years,
*after overthrowing a Western installed puppet,
*under full sanctions,
*having had to suffer 1 million casualties by Saddam (with the West+USSR+all Arab "Islamic" countries supporting Saddam),
*poison gas attacks,
*MKO bombings,

you have managed to remain independent and free, and developed yourself and your industries, while preserving your own culture, own economic system and political system, while all your former enemies and evil wishers are in the gutter! Where is Saddam today? Where is Osama bin Laden? Where are the Taliban, Arab monarchies, where is Abdolmalek Rigi? You make us proud. Congratulations!

All the Arab Islamic countries you are mentioning were in pain , it like when your two brothers are fighting.in the casualties were 1 million in total from both sides.so some supported one side and some the other.
America and its allies of Saddam played the card being secular Muslim and communist against fundamental islamic Iran.

But who played them against each other are paying the price today . unfortunately with too many Iraqi casualties and a beautiful country in ruin but it should be rebuilt an better bi izn Allah.

So every time you mention Arabs against Persians you are playing the Zionist cards and you won't succeed in your endeavour . if you are a true Muslim clean a bit your mind and stop your rhetoric against Islam and Muslim nations or I might say the Muslim nation.

Iran dam look good, Iran is trying to becoming independent on oil for electricity uses.

It seems Western sanctions has only had positive effects for Iran's industrial development. You can't name one Arab country which has half of Iran's industry today, even though they have been open to the world market for many decades. But, it is not to say that opening your market is completely bad for the economy. Maybe if Iran wasn't sanctioned by the West we would have seen a much richer Iran today, with state of the art brands like Sony, Siemens, Toyota etc. I just hope for the regions sake that animosity between Arabs, Iranians and Turks will vanish, so that we can pursue a much better, safer and richer Middle East.

No one can say it better.
But self reliance is an absolute thing, imagine the USA counting on Russia or vice versa during the cold war. It also might have been good for both but it was not realistic as the west with Islamic states in general nowadays.they will certainly help you and even give some modern technologies if you have cash for them to have yet better technologies than that, and do not forget... you have to abide by their rules moralities(none) and self directed laws. And with all this , if you are lucky you will have a few years to play with the gadgets until their new policy designate you as an enemy and all your riches and advanced technologies are obsolete by that time.
