What's new

Made-in-India warship to be largest in Sri Lankan Navy’s fleet

That's the reason the carrier is still 'under construction' after so long. Look at how many times it was launched.

The actual reason is we didn't reverse engineer an existing design like you did with the Varyag.

What happened to Type 52 destroyers whone engine had failed and Chinese engineers were unable to fix it. Any news?

.
Lol, what happened? Did your reverse engineered Ukrainian GTs prove unreliable?

The truth is that you have reverse engineered many systems but you're boasting like you developed them from scratch !!
You are dumb. CV use steam boiler not GT engine. You are so desperate of masking India impotency. Why you stop short of talking arrestor hook and AESA radar? Maybe you want to claim its from Somalia.

Poor Indian still need to import. What a shame :enjoy:

 Indian buys, there is not even a build to talk about it in the first place.

We reserve right to retaliate: India to Pak

Oh this responsible & unruly Modi/India!

If ever the China fires its first canon shot against Indian troops, Pakistan would jump into the fray.
And then India would cry bloody tears.
While the US-Russia would look the other way.

Go kill yourself, traitor....

It doesn't matter. We made our own unlike you who need to beg for import :enjoy:

I am glad, I exposed Chinese stupidity once again..

Now can India make a steam propulsion system for a carrier ?

Yes we can.

But we are happy going for a more modern GT propulsion. Thanks !!!

You're too ignorant..
You mean you? Your little Vikrant carrier uses 4 x LM 2500 GE engine while our carrier is 60,000tons which has bigger space and need more power to accomodate power steam turbine engine.

Manufacturing[edit]
The present-day manufacturing industry for steam turbines is dominated by Chinese power equipment makers. Harbin Electric, Shanghai Electric, and Dongfang Electric, the top three power equipment makers in China, collectively hold a majority stake in the worldwide market share for steam turbines in 2009-10 according to Platts.[13] Other manufacturers with minor market share include Bhel, Siemens, Alstom, GE, Doosan Škoda Power, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and Toshiba.[13] The consulting firm Frost & Sullivan projects that manufacturing of steam turbines will become more consolidated by 2020 as Chinese power manufacturers win increasing business outside of China.[14]

That is import which you Indian brag as home made?
I guess you are desperate to mask your impotency.

India is good for nothing. Only knows how to buy and brag as Superpower

What a shame. :enjoy:

:blah: :blah:

Queen Elizabeth class which is the same size as yours uses 2× RR Trent GTs.

Too bad Chinese could only come up with steam propulsion for this type.

That is import which you Indian brag as home made?

Yawn...India has been manufacturing 28MW steam turbines for marine propulsion since the 80s...

I guess Ukrainian ToT doesn't help in the Chinese case to upgrade the GTs to be used on an aircraft carrier.

20mil$ is the real cost of an aircraft carrier without refurbishment, it's just steel ready to be recycled, we told the Ukrainians it was for a casino, if we were smart like the Indians to tell them it's for an operational carrier, then the price would go up multiple times. We did all the refurbishment in China, saving money and providing jobs, the exact opposite of what India did. So can you call our carrier a junk when it is clearly more advanced that the 1 billion(carrier alone) you paid to the Russians?

Didn't China pay 1 billion $$ to Turkey as security money to let Varyag pass, plus a guaranteed 2 billion $$ foreign exchange by forcing 2 million Tourists from China to go to Turkey and spend money there-

Wow, that adds up to exactly 3 billion$ which also is the same amount Indians paid. So Indians are not milked at all.:D. The face saving mentality is strong in this one.
