In all fairness the Chinese auto manufacturers had to make those cars safe for people to want to buy them in foreign countries, I'm sure a lot of chinese cars are still unsafe. But you are correct that Indian cars have to improve on safety, I think both India and China should introduce mandatory 5 star safety rating for all new cars sold there. However I think I will never buy a Chinese or a Indian car still, whatever their safety may be.

I disagree with your statement. China car quality is good and your impression is based on outdate products produce 10years ago probably. Many made in China car currently are as safe as Japanese and Korean counterpart. Many 1st class countries has already China EV as taxis or buses and they have passed their criteria criteria with stringent controls.

But such high standard of product are probably out of your reach. You live in a place where GDP is low and you don't expect the best thing you can have. China export products to countries that suit their budget. If you are poor and don't expect to drive a Ferrari. It's called practical. If you drive a dirt car and think that is the best China can produce then you are are wrong. You drive a dirt car becos you have only dirt money. Not becos that is the best China can produce.

If considering the prices (indians mostly buy phones cheaper than $100), then less than 10%.....

Hi, I totally agree with some statement claiming the frog in the well statement. Already as proven of Indian copy too and their car poor quality. All these Indian can do is just chest thumping with self denial statement that try cover up the fact Indian makes poor quality car. It's no wonder why India is sthe backward. But I am happy about the situation of India and Indians. Hope they can remain that as long as possible.
