I guess cars to middle class indian (who are not hungry) are dirt cheap because they use PPP money
So as per your logic, Chinese car must be dirt cheap by 9 to 10 times as China has 60% of US GDP with 5.5 time population . What say?

No one buys Make in India outside India, it's a hard fact.
That is why india's car export is higher than China.

India's Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., preparing to launch an off-road vehicle in the U.S., will take a "thoughtful" approach to marketing on-road passenger vehicles next, company officials said Monday.

Speaking at a roundtable with reporters at the new Mahindra Automotive North America plant in a Detroit suburb, Anand Mahindra, executive chairman of Mahindra Group, would not give a timetable for when the global giant will begin selling passenger vehicles in the U.S., where it also sells tractors.

"It's not imminent," he said of Mahindra passenger vehicles in the United States. "But is it an aspiration? Yes, it remains very much an aspiration. We have stated on record, that amongst the options open to us are to come in with SsangYong Motors [vehicles], which is our Korean subsidiary. As you know it's the third Korean auto company that Americans don't know about."

Americans have "happily" accepted "Korean quality and automotive competence," Mahindra said, referring to rivals Hyundai and Kia. "So that could be a very logical step for us to introduce that brand here but that's a decision that will be taken by the SsangYong Motors board."

Mahindra attempted to enter the U.S. market in 2006 using independent distributor Global Vehicles U.S.A. to sell compact diesel pickups imported from India. The companies targeted a retail network of more than 300 dealers. But the plan collapsed in 2010 amid the industry's sales downturn and resulted in years of litigation.

Dealers sued Mahindra in 2012, claiming the automaker pocketed more than $9.5 million and more than a $100 million worth of dealer trade secrets to utilize for their future entrance into the U.S. market, and that it a strong market foundation gained at the expense of the dealers' free promotion of Mahindra's brand name around the U.S.

Mahindra denied the dealers' claims and placed blame for the failed plan to sell pickups here on its former U.S. distributor.

"We did attempt to come in here but I think the learning from that is if you're committed to a market, you must come in with your own entity, being the distributor here, and we will certainly use that learning," Mahindra said.

Mahindra executives believe tractors and other off-road products could be the key to determining whether or not passenger vehicles are viable in the U.S.

In 2013, Mahindra established a North American automotive headquarters in Troy, Mich., which houses design, engineering and vehicle development.

Mahindra held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday at the manufacturing plant, which is part of $230 million in investments by the company in southeastern Michigan. It's billed as the first new auto plant in the Detroit region in more than 25 years.

The factory will produce an off-road-only recreational and work vehicle dubbed the Roxor, which remains under wraps. Roxor production and sales are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2018.

"We hope that we will gradually creep into the consciousness of the American consumer as the maker of very rugged, sturdy SUV and crossover vehicles," Mahindra said. "So I think it's more about a brand journey than about a journey of investment."

Rick Haas, Mahindra Automotive North America president, pointed to current Mahindra customers -- hunters, farmers, ranchers, miners or recreational individuals -- as potential customers for the Roxor and passenger vehicles.

"All those people have cars in their garage too," Haas said. "Again, the idea is to build the brand in a very positive way, with a vehicle that we think demonstrates our DNA, let people kinda get a sniff of us and get used to what we're all about and then you start taking next steps that build on that as we go forward."

You wrote 15 in number and 6 in word in same sentence . Actually your wife should divorce you for the quality education you have got in Chinese school. However she won't do that because she may have be schooled in same school . Chinese are very famous for their education particularly higher education in whole world .

BYD to assemble commercial electric trucks in Canada

TORONTO -- BYD Co. plans to open its first assembly plant in Canada, anticipating a surge in demand for electric trucks from municipalities and businesses.

BYD will open the plant next year in Ontario and hire 40 people to start, said BYD Canada spokesman Ted Dowling.

The company decided to “significantly” accelerate its investment in Canada because provincial tax incentives create a more welcome environment than the United States, he said.

“There is less of a barrier to entry when it comes to having Chinese products in Canada compared to the U.S.,” Dowling said. BYD declined to disclose the plant’s location in Ontario, how much it plans to invest or how much in government incentives it was offered. The company expects to make an announcement in a few weeks, Dowling said.

BYD’s plan comes as countries shift to electric vehicles to combat climate change and reduce health risks. The United Kingdom and France plan to ban sales of fossil-fueled vehicles by 2040, while China has said it will set its own deadline.

Some Canadian provinces are offering rebates to EV buyers while companies evaluate electric fleets. Last week, grocer Loblaws Cos. unveiled its first fully electric truck.

A spokesman for Ontario’s Ministry of Economic Development and Growth declined to comment on BYD’s plans.

BYD, of Shenzhen, China, will start its operations in Ontario by shipping technology and components from China and producing garbage trucks and delivery vans -- vehicles with relatively short daily routes, Dowling said.

The company intends to expand and will hire more people as it does so.

“BYD is a global company, but we like to localize,” Dowling said. “It doesn’t make sense to build everything in China and then ship it. It makes more sense to utilize the incentive programs and policy changes and create jobs in different markets.”

In 2013, the company opened an electric-bus assembly plant in Lancaster, Calif., staffed by 100 workers. The plant now employs 700 people.

Ontario is a good market for BYD because the region around Toronto has many distribution centers. If one company goes electric and sees its costs reduced, other companies will do so too, Dowling said.

Canada has been losing automotive investment to cheaper locations in the United States and Mexico. One of the last major commercial truck assembly plants in Ontario closed in 2011.

“We’re bringing back an industry and we’re doing it through electrification,” Dowling said. “It’s a totally different game.”

Indians do not use their own indegnous language to lead physics/chemistry/medicine/maths?

Umm.. Yes. We largely don't study any subject of note in our language. In fact, English is pretty much the language for most of our middle and upper classes.

There are some government schools that do teach these subjects in local languages but the standards of those schools is too low, and those students usually aren't actually proficient in the subjects.

Also, dude I have talked to many Chinese scientists and engineers. I know that working language in Chinese academia is still Chinese, however no body writes NaHCO3 or any chemical formula that way.

People in China already learn pinyin which has roman letters, and even a pure Chinese publication is often littered with English words and abbreviations.

Apart from that, most of the top Chinese scientists and engineers of today at least have some basic understanding and fluency in English. They may not be able to speak well, but usually can read well, because most of the Scientific Literature and discussion happens in English. (Leave alone that a lot of top Chinese talent have studied and trained abroad.)

Of course with English you can go global, that's why so many Indian and Filipino professionals are overseas, but there is also weakness if you don't develop your own civilization and depend on English.

I think I am not clear enough.

Those Chinese for chemical compounds are for pronunciation, not for writing generally.

How to read NaHCO3 in English i have no idea. But every Chinese will read it as 碳酸氢钠。

Every Chinese can easily read any science paper. I have zero knowlege on quantum science or the astronomy. If given an english paper on that, it does not make sense to me at all. But once translated into Chinese, I can gaspe 95% meaning. The bar to access a new field is so low once terms are in Chinese.

What the f**k is 氡 I have no idea.
But I know from this character the moment I see it, it is a sort of gas, and it is pronounced in Chinese as Dong.
