It was reported in MoDP book for 2014-15 regarding the purchase of 6 more batteries of LY-80 (HQ-16) adding to purchase of 3 batteries shown in book of MoDP for the year 2013-2014, from China.

Three Tier air defense comprising of Hq9 -> Hq16 -> Hq7.
We need enough numbers to cover up our entire air space so that enemy air crafts receive ''Aslam o Alaikum'' at all three stages

LRSAM is more important than MRSAM----firstly---it covers the outer fringes---and also can be used for medium range---.

LRSAM is a deterrent---.

that is real threat that scared hostile pilots we are wasting money since decades on toys . its was good time in 2002-03 we order some decent system from west US
