The explanations given by Air chief and PA in the aftermath of Abbotabad operation were so childish that the whole world including the Pakistani turn a deaf ear to what our military pundits said.

Ofcourse, because we know how much they lie to us all the time, remember when Kayani said that no more drone attacks will be tolerated and that drones will be shot down! I have lost respect for the Generals who are gutless cowards. 99.99% are patriot and brave. Most of the time it is actually the top brass which is greedy, corrupt and hungry for power.
I wonder what go wrong as they become senior and start getting promotions.

Just look at the kind of stuff who managed to get to the top.

- Gen. Ayub (corrupt dictator, who defeated Mother of the Nation in a fraud election).
- Gen. Zia (dictator who explioted islam for his personal agenda and served USA till his death)
- Gen. Akhtar Abdul Reham (making huge money through drug and weapon tarde during afgan war)
- Gen. Musharaf (Corrupt dictator, habitual drinker who sold out Pakistan and its bases just for his personal power hunger)
- Jehangir Karamat (The one who is permanently settled & working for USA, writing research paper against Pakistan)
- Gen. Yahya (the most notorious, drunk and Zanni).
- Hameed gul, Gen., Kayani, Pasha, etc. etc (vow such mediocre stuff)

Lets hope professional soldier get to the top positions.

excuse me.....Gen. r. Karamat is one of the greatest patriots Pakistan ever gave birth to. He is VERY MUCH pro-Pakistan, served Pakistan in uniform, and in fact he is a good pro-Pakistan lobbyist in Washington who is respected. I dont even know if he's still residing in US.

Instead of love and hatred for politicians it would be much better if he focus on this professional duties. Instead of indulging them selves politics in We only expect that ISI and its chief perform their duties.

Bribing of politicians, making of Q-league and IJI and patronizing of Pressure groups like Dafa-e-Pakistan Council and harboring of non state militant organizations isn't the ISI job.

Instead of non issues like Memo drama and political manipulations, Issues of proxy wars in Balochistan, FATA and Gilgit Baltistan are the areas where ISI and our intelligence agencies should be concentrating.

New spy chief not only has to counter the proxy wars but he also needs to improve the reputation of intelligence agencies which is kissing the toes in the eyes of common people specially in baluchistan.

definitely agreed, but memo scandal has the potential of unleashing the truth about foreign meddling of a different kind --one almost (if not as much) sinister in nature

but i do agree that things must not get overly politicised...their job description and raison d'etre is the defence of Pakistan's borders, boundaries and interests

He does not necessarily hate all politicians, but "politics" plural. And the guy working counter-intel has achieved some big hits on our enemies, they know who they are.
