ISPR has not announced this development yet??

Factually incorrect.

If this was the case, Fawad Chaudary and Shiekh Rasheed wouldnt be giving out explanantions, and more importantly, as soon as the ISPR notification was issued, a PM office notification would have followed suit, but that did not happen.

But still not the case what really happened.
Nonetheless, to save face, his appointment has been pushed by a month. Not realizing that there is a whole chain of Corps Commander appointment being disrupted.

I don't agree on this. We shall keep out our political differences in such matters of national security & Institute's SoP.

This may be the beginning of political meddling and influence in ISI.
The only security institution which was freely working so far.
The "Bonga" has done another completely unnecessary "Bongii".
ISI may turn into punjab police as next rulers follow this "Precedence".
calm down ... you can push your agenda else where!!!!!!!! ISI is subordinate to the office of PRIME MINISTER and that includes its chief and their appointments too....... Following the procedure wont hurt anyone!

Funny to see boot polishers thinking it would bring “political meddling” in ISI as if ISI is not infamous already for engineering elections and creating boogeyman for sitting governments.

Stop pretending like some westerner where PM rulers have all assets in the country and are extremely loyal to the country. Likewise voters don't sell votes for a plate of biryani..
That's why it's safe to put all institutions under the elected rulers command.

This is Pakistan where Bhuttos and Shaifs have all assets abroad, have business relationships with Indian businesses men , and don't get elected fairly. Most voters are tenants on their lands and or some other way , don't have a choice to vote for anyone else. They come to power for own interests.

That's why it's unsafe to out ISI or Military under civilian rulers command.

If indeed this is a result of superstitious beliefs in Peerni's recommendations, then our enemies have a convenient method of controlling national policies through proxy. But in any case, here are two hypotheses for the reasons behind this fiasco:

1. Attempt by the military to dissociate itself from the civilian government in the face of highly unpopular measures for increasing electricity and gas rates along with prices of food items. In reality, the entire top leadership is on the same page to squeeze the poor common man to the full extent to pay back loans while supporting their own lavish lifestyles.

2. A calculated move by our enemies to manipulate the careers of top generals. The careers of top generals are nearing the end, and delays of six months can translate to end of career instead of nomination for COAS. Already, the traitor Imran Khan has destroyed the careers of many generals by giving an unnecessary extension to Bajwa. Is Bajwa using delaying tactics to eliminate further possibilities for COAS?

hey keyboard warrior you have no idea how things works and generalizing someone on heir location just tells about your mindset... well stay abroad with that shitty brain of yours and we are good! Biryani is our dish and we will eat it with whatever we want !!!

You have to be seriously naive or stupid to actually believe this BS :rolleyes1:

Setting a new precedent would have been to hold COAS or ISPR accountable, or choosing another equally competent officer to take over the position just to make a point.

All that was done here is topi drama that ultimately resulted in yet another u-turn by IK.

I agree. Even if this guy was the best candidate the only way he could prove he made the decision was by choosing a different person.

Respect to Imran Khan for ensure he did his part of Job , to review the appointment and also give respect to other Candidates that their application was reviewed by both Military and Prime Minister

The Dual interview ensures , their is consensus and cooperation between Prime Minister's point of view and Military

Applaudable move by Prime Minister

Which other candidates?

The single candidate was hand picked by the Army Chief and declared the new spy master 3 weeks earlier.

The same candidate's name was then forwarded to the PM to approve after he threw a hissy fit. And, that's that.

It's not about being who is boss. It's about following the proper legal method. As per law army chief cannot do posting transfer of DG ISI, only PM can as he reports directly to him. As for General Bajwa's recommendation of new army DG ISI, PM Imran Khan never disagreed with him but only wanted current DG ISI to continue on his job for some more time. That's why new DG ISI will take command on 20th of November, unlike immediately as recommended by army chief.
You can all take your Bughaz Imran back to the same corrupt media where it originated.

Sach batao yaar - kitni tankha milti hai? Ya koi personal association ya majboori hai? Because itnay nannay massom nahi ho saktay tum

Regret to say that it is not a 'Face saving' for both the parties. Instead it is a clear message from Imran Khan that he is the 'Boss' and that he only decided in favour of the Army's choice after ensuring that the new DG ISI was up to the mark. The delay of almost a month also emphasises that it is IK who decides when the change should take place.

It is the 'Establishment' that has to somehow save the face. Admittedly one can also interpret it as " The Army had their way" and IK saved the face by delaying the appointment by almost a month. But In my humble opinion, my first interpretation is more accurate.
If ik was so wise n an astout than he would not have appointed a goof like buzdar as the cm Punjab or for that matter appointed an economic hit man as governor state bank.

He is a very egoistic person. who has ground our eco into the ground
