Lt Gen (retd) Shahid Aziz opens Pandora Box on Kargil issue

You couldn't answer my post with any logic, so now you've started to post he same sht again. The point was, do you have a brain, use it. This General, I am sure if asked what I asked you, will have no answer.

Talk logic, my friend. And btw, post reported.

I doubt if any such claim is actually made by the said general

recall the so called interview of Gen Ziaudin who was our shortest serving COAS (for few hours) the interview last year or so claimed that Gen Ziauldin was blaming Musharraf of sheltering Osama at Abbotabad

the retired general later on denied saying that his words were misquoted but that denial was so half hearted or so much ignored that even getting the link of that smaller news item clarification from him is impossible to find now but the damage from the sensational but ridiculous claim was done which also blamed an IB chief (civilian intelligence setup) of sheltering Osama although that guy had retired from IB about a decade ago.

seems like there is some macro or template run by these master story writers who pick up random Pakistani names of the different heads and run the program to cook up a story. some times the claim and source are both coming from the nether regions of the claimant and the general public gleefully basks in the shiite presented to it because it sings the likeable and favourable tune.

Jingosim aside, did it in any way affect PA... abandoning bodies of fallen comrades or was it conveyed to them that it would be part of mission, hence a bigger sacrifice?

explain this contradictory video?
is this abandoning?

I agree Jingosim aside (including the title of the video) but check out the content.
best part you see is that soldiers of the both armies salute the dead

I remember during those days, CNN showed a photo, supposedly released by the Indian Army in which Muslim Indian soldiers were offering funeral prayers for our 'unaccepted' martyred soldiers, and guess what, they were prostrating in the picture :D

I had two things in mind, whether those Indian 'Muslims' have forgotten Islam or those were not Muslims at all, or maybe the bodies were also not real. Indian Army is good at deception, but sometimes act too stupid.

I recall the poor indian soldiers whimpering like little girls - crying out for their mothers - when we opened fire on their poorly planned frontal assaults. Some of our boys attempted to give them water, risking their own lives, the smell of a thousand latrines as the poor indians were systematically - eaten by dogs, and consumed by maggots.

The smell will never be forgotten, as the vast swarms of beetles and fly's that made it look like some sort of moving carpet, the indian officers - who's name tags could be clearly seen through the scope, who's brains were distributed over the mountain with a head shot.

We still control peaks that can shut down vital enemy highway's and we killed hundreds of soldiers.

sorry

the accounts of Nehari tiger of Raiwund are more believable
even if I bring one of those who actually fought that war wont mean anything.

but hey

it makes perfect sense that a brigade level skirmish has more casualties inflicted on Pakistan than the entire 1971 war yea? what about Stalin grand? even more than that? I think the story writer is being modest here, give it another ten years and there will be claims that half of Pakistan army was killed in Kargil and half was made slaves.

Adding to what the soldier said, The Point 5353 has been heavily fortified now, we have a proper supply line in place for a post which is in their side of the LoC, they can only dream about neutralizing it, 'cause anyone with a lil' Military knowledge knows how difficult it is to take out a enemy post at a higher ground. In Kargil war, this was the reason IAF was called in, which became the reason for the casualties on our side.

And yes, from Point 5353, we can target main Indian supply route of National Highway. The biggest advantage of still occupying that post.

PA occupies 3 peaks exactly. Only one of them has significance. And that one peak is surrounded by peaks on all sides held by India. In case of absolutely any case of trying to shut down that highway, that peak will be shelled from more than one side.

That peak gives NO military value to Pakistan. The same job of observing the highway can be done more effectively by other means.

No you cannot. That peak will be bombed if used for this purpose.

Ah! Another lock on Su 30 over Lahore kind of rant :D

And what makes you think IAF can not be brought in again if needed ?Its not "Single use" kind of thing you know :D

You just missed the main point, point 5353 is the highest peak in that area. In case of hostility, Point 5353 will be the one more effectively bombing IA's surrounding posts, not the other way round.

Sir, isn't it ironic how the Indian media is forever present in such a hostile and isolated environment just to record for chest thumping, the bodies handing over ceremony. One wonders if no Indian bodies were ever handed over by the PA. I guess our media missed on that trick. Any how, according to Indian's own admission, there are at least three peaks still under PA control.

Unless verifiable, they wont ...

Err.. Arent these claims really made by the Prime Minister of PAKISTAN.. ? Wont call them claims then.. Would we? Specially if we go by the commonly accepted fact here that Nawaz Sharif was fully involved in the planning of that Debacle...

The peak initself cannot be used to bomb anything! It can be used to direct accurate arty fire from other locations! Its great for observing! and that is it..

And most peaks surrounding 5353 are in Indian colours. That should tell you something as well.

IAF is no longer new to mountain ops. They have improved by leaps and bounds - and have much better gear now.

I don't think Military top brass on our side will do the foolishness of not taking into confidence PAF in the next such conflict. So, it wont be a easy run, maybe this time, your SU-30 will be shot down over LoC ;)
