On Aug 20, 2009, BDR, Maj. Gen Mainul Islam delivered another blow to BDR by turning first line of Bangladesh defense force BDR into a guard; he proposed BDR to be rename to border guard and change structure that would impaired to function as force. During Maj. Gen Mainul Islam tenure in BDR his job was to implemented Indian immediate plan to destroy BDR, subjugate it and turn their gun against Bangladeshis instead of in the border.
