Isnt that how you make friends at work/ school/ collage/ uni

Everyone is a stranger no one is making rishtadari

In college you have the chance to observe people before you decide to meet them at any particular location, that too in a foreign land.

I understand your concern ...I share that hence the limited no. of people I mentioned though some I forgot coz cant remember and others well I dont know if they are in London/ UK

I like to think those behind the screen as human beings who can be talked to in real life...even if we dont exchange contacts at least it would be a social gathering

Sure, if that's how you see it then whatever floats your boat. Its just that here in the West we are taught by law enforcement agencies and social services groups who deal with missing/kidnapped persons cases not to meet people you only chatted with on the internet, its not really a decision associated with common sense.

You do know there are meetup sites/ fb events and stuff going on all the time? And we are meeting at a restaurant /public place sure common sense tells me not to meet one alone and in a deserted area

This meeting is being held in public place in some busy resturants in London and its not that these people are going to meet in some jungle in somlia or in cave of tora bora where they might end up killing each others or kidnap easc others for ransom . they are all adult and they are knowing what they are doing

Over here we don't meet with strangers, unless it's business transaction or drug deal or something of that sort. Unless you have gun and are confident person in the US usually no meetings with strangers take place. Back at your home in Pakistan, the people aren't weird and security worries don't come from ordinary people but from militants. Back in Palestine, there is absolutely no worry to walk out after midnight or meet any of the 5 million Palestinians present because it's just not in our culture to have serial killers/kidnappers/pedophiles/etc....

Meeting with fellow Pakistani is more safe in London because you have better law and order situation in London. Here women walk on street at midnight wearing half naked clothes but no one dare to approach them because of fear of laws
