@BATMAN They spent 10 million pounds to have it cladded. What doesn't make sense to me is every block or residential area requires health and safety system. No clue to what that money has been spent on except making the exterior look good for the rich residents living opposite the block since it wasn't a 'pretty sight'.
It costs £300,000 to fit in sprinklers, and around
Service per extinguisher £ 9.00 + vat (£ 10.80 inc. vat)
Service per fire blanket £ 3.00 + vat (£ 3.60 inc. vat)
Technician visit charge (added to each order) £25.97 + vat (£31.16 inc. vat)
- All of which would have cost well below the millions.
It appears the councils/gov/private lenders have pocketed the money and carried very little work through the project.
It's not so much about immigration control, it's more about Kensington having rich people and neglecting the poor. The area is split in two, the upper and lower class. They always wanted to get rid off the block.
