This is a sensitive ethnic and religious issue the opinion of Seraikis and Pashtuns is even more negative towards Ranit Singh(who btw have given 2/3rd of their seats to PTI)

I think Altaf Hussein and Imran Khan are quite comparable in this regard that is why Karachi voted for IK

And Islamabad and Bannu and Mianwali and Lahore

The us of Seraiki for the language that is spoken in those regions maybe new but the Seraiki province movement has created a low key nationalist sentiment there which was exploited to the max by PTI

The funny thing is Fawad Chaudry being from Jehlum isn't even a proper "punjabi", strictly speaking he is a pothohari pahari himself so him prasing the so-called "greatest king of punjabis" is even more ridiculous. Someone from Lahore, Gujranwala or Sialkot making such rubbish claims atleast will make some sense but a Jehlumi pothohair guy whose pothohari ancestors were probably slaughtered by Ranjit singh and his likes during his northern raids is quite funny in a tragic way.

They care the most, Multanis for example hate Ranjit singh with a vengeance because of his blood shed of last muslim Nawabs of Multan and his local Saraiki soldiers. That is where the whole term of being occupied by "Takht-e-Lahore" came into existence, this tyrannical "Takht-e-Lahore" term was coined by local Multanis after the occupation of Sikhs (whose seat/takht was in Lahore at that time) and the term has survived to this day, no one likes to be ruled by outsiders, for muslim Saraikis of Multan Ranjeet Singh and his Lahori sikh ilk that invaded and caused blood shed of local multanis is the darkest chapter in their local history.
