The funny thing is Fawad Chaudry being from Jehlum isn't even a proper "punjabi", strictly speaking he is a pothohari pahari himself so him prasing the so-called "greatest king of punjabis" is even more ridiculous. Someone from Lahore, Gujranwala or Sialkot making such rubbish claims atleast will make some sense but a Jehlumi pothohair guy whose pothohari ancestors were probably slaughtered by Ranjit singh and his likes is quite funny in a tragic way.

They care the most, Multanis for example hate Ranjit singh with a vengeance because of his blood shed of last muslim Nawabs of Multan and his local Saraiki soldiers. That is where the whole term of "Takht-e-Lahore" came from, this "Takht-e-Lahore" term was coined by local Multanis after the occupation of Sikhs (whose seat was in Lahore) and the term has survived to this day, no one likes to be ruled by outsiders, for muslim Saraikis of Multan Ranjeet Singh and his Lahori sikh ilk that invaded and caused blood shed of local multanis is the darkest chapter in their local history.

No believe me if at this point in time someone hates the Sikhs/Ranjit singh the most in present day pakistani punjab, it has to be Multanis and surrounding Saraikis, the whole tyrannical term being under occupation of "Takht-e-Lahore" (Assan Qaidi han Takht Lahore de) originates from that time.

But still even if it is a slogan of mostly Saraiki nationalists but the reality is that it is based on Multanis vs Sikhs (Lahori Ranjeet Singh) from early 19th century.
