Don't be too harsh on politicians; they need to keep everybody on the board . They are human beings too, and "as you are, so will you be ruled (Hadis-i Sherif)"..

Good. Bhutto should die for better.
Bhuttos looked very elegant, well versed and convincing from the outset. But, I think Nesip and Baht were not very Hosh on them..

A man dreamed of capital city on the rolling plain between Rawalpindi (the home of Pak Army) and Margalla Hills. He then planned the city, named it Islamabad and thanks to his ability to leverage US, with ample funding he began the construction of the new city. He then shifted the capital to the new city of Islamabad. The father of Islamabad is? President Ayub Khan.

CDA officials during briefing to General Ayub at site.

President General Ayub Khan, along with his men, is having fun time at Shakarparian after laying the foundation stone of Pakistan’s Second Capital, Islamabad.

The least they could do today is name the damn airport in his memory - Ayub Khan International.

Bhuttos are a curse on Pakistan.

Considering how much our corrupt system hates Martial law & Military Generals in general, they wouldn't even dream of doing something like this.

Somebody list me five things that Liaqat Khan did that deserve especial attention? When I say 'did' I mean beyond his own person and that had tangible benefit to later generations. And spare us monikers like Shaheed-e-Millat.

I think he convinced Rahmetli Jinnah to come back to take the lead to fight out an independent Pak. He remained loyal till the end so that Rahmetli did his job unhindered. During the coalition government he did his job well so that it exposed Ram Rajya mission. And, he was assasinated by a proxy for a reason...

I think he convinced Rahmetli Jinnah
I think there were many others also who were involved.

He remained loyal till the end
Well, frankly Jinnah died soon after 1947 and loyalty alone cannot be measure of being greatness. If it were there are are countless others also.

During the coalition government he did his job well so that it exposed Ram Rajya mission.
I am sorry. I agree with you most of the time but here I beg to differ, He did a terrible job. The real loss was Jinnah. Unlike India where they had men of substance around Nehru Jinnah mostly had medocrity around him.

Bottom line. I asked for five especial things Liaqat did - there is non. If being killed makes you great then Benezir or her dad ought to be in the special category as well.

And by the way I can enumerate 10 tangible things Ayub did for Pakistan that still resonate today. Islamabad is only just one of them. Why not have a look at dams in Pakistan and see how mamnuy got built after him and how many during his rule. That alone deserves something. Generation, after generation has been enjoying water and electricity thanks to Tarbela and Mangla.

Well he was the closest companion of Jinnah in movement of creation of Pakistan.

But that is not enough of a reason to respect him for your racist nature.

You want airport for founder of Islamabad but not for one who actually participated in creation of Pakistan.

Even running to Britain couldn't cure your racism?
