I don't expect the turkish military to place a massive order for the Altay soon because the indigenous motor is 6 years away, in the meantime they should upgrade the leo 2's that way the tsk will have a modern tank force (300 Upgraded leo 2NG, 170 sabra, 250 Altay with german engine maybe less, 170 leo 1T). When the other altays with the indigenous power pack start coming in during the 2020's M48's can be put in the garbage and be replaced with the m60

Wow dude that would mean we would soon have a armada of almost 1500 more or less modern Tanks and the production line for more, it would be indeed a huge firepower. :cheesy:

The «Leopard RI» main battle tanks arrived in Indonesia from Germany.

The «Leopard RI» is a modular upgrade package to the Leopard 2A4 main battle tanks for Indonesia. Tanks are internally named Leopard 2RI (RI referring to “Republic of Indonesia”).
