Child marriage is already banned in Pakistan under Child Marriage Restraint Act 1929.

If you ask someone to refer to something that was written 1400 years ago and hasn't been changed since then he will come up with what's written in it..In that sense..They aren't really wrong...what one needs to figure out is whether what was written then applies now.

It is encouraging to me that no one has shown up to defend child marriages. I got into it with a British Muslim on another forum - he was defending it. I really can't believe an internet savvy person could think marrying a girl could be acceptable.
