As for the Indian artistic images, how can you ditch scholars arguments over artistic images? The more i research the more i find that majority of the time both men and women used to wear clothing only waist down. Its actually during the gupta empire that they started getting influenced from neighboring countries.

as far as historiography of indian subcontinent goes, the major school of history is the cambridge school, which is accused of pushing eurocentric agenda on indian history.

the argument which you are quoting simply states that before kushans the indians rarely wore stitched clothes, but after kushans that increased.

where ever the indians are seen wearing stitched clothes befre the alleged kushan periods, they are declared as foreigeners for instance sanchi reliefs and orissa khandagiri cave releif showing s warrior wearing a stitched gown and boots, all these clothes have been declared as foreigners/greeks in indian art.

there are scholars who have argued that those are indians and not foreigners.

this is the reason im asking you to elaborate on how exactly the indian dressing was influeced on central asian clothes model, i am asking you to give better argument than the general ''stitched clothes'' argument, what central asian style clothes did indians start to wear which they didnt before the kushan and ''turk'' period.

the same BS argument is used again to show islamic ''turk'' influence, how indians wore unstitched lungi before turks introduced stitched clothes in india.
