LCA Tejas is inferior to JF-17 Thunder Block III: Chinese expert

Read my post again...I am not saying that India has made a great deal with 100% of components for LCA...But even if it is anything with 60-70% of in house design, the knowledge of the people, the industry or plants that will build these planes are in house...Most of the money that will be spent on these planes will create a job for own citizens....

And again, everyone knows how indigenous in JF block series planes that were developed by China...They are definitely ahead of us in the game but that does not mean, they are far ahead with big players of West and Europe..

No poing in arguing with him....They are just tryng to prove some point without any rational debate....

Here comes another bombastic Indian. Let me repeat. You are incapable of building anything. You will keep importing. Don't give your BS of 60-70%. We know what it is made of.

Dude he is a troll.

No I am on a Roll.

So back to my point, India or Pakistan or anybody else can build a formidable force of MLRS thereby negating the need for an equal sized air force, and using the MLRS as a force multiplier. I hope somebody from the Pakistani armed forces is reading this (unlikely) and uses this idea but if not then I hope other countries use this idea.

Pakistan has no need to build an equal air force when it can use long range MLRS and just bomb the f*ck out of WAC bases and run somewhat unopposed(SAMs) over Indian airspace.

Is it so??? I feel pity on you man...i could respond to your language....But you are protected in PDF....Good luck...We are doing our best as we speak....There is no need to get certificate of people like you...

Don't engage trolls, I have seen Indians here in many fields that allow return of knowledge directly to India that will in the future technological advancement, but at the same time there are still Pakistanis and Chinese doing exactly that and getting information at similar rates.

On 27th FEB,2019 our JF-17s were in the sky confronting your mighty SU-30s while you Teja boy was hiding deep down in South India. The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Fact is India and Pakistan can not absolutely do anything to each other militarily...This is the ground reality...Some minor skirmishes on border will keep our armed forces busy with each other, but no full-scale war is going to happen unless some one make any stupid move to change the physical boundary as it exists today...

You never know, somebody could do something on both sides that causes full on war(like killing civilians in the hundreds or thousands) on a limited scale for a few weeks. It will cause a lot of deaths depending on weapons used, and may just end if devastation of either sides armed forces.

Of course..I agree with you....And in general, Indian/Pakistan/BD people are hard-working people when we go to other countries...The contribution from us towards our native country always exists...The only advantage of India is our political stability since independence that gives a good platform to launch ourselves to next level from being a poor country...If Pakistan continues its path like it is doing now, then things are bright for them too...

When the economy of both countries prosper, both countries will realize the importance of focussing on improving the quality of life of people and change their priorities...That is why I mentioned, a full-scale war between India and Pakistan is a remote possibility in 2020...

I do not think so...There are lot of stake involved in the war....Do not just create impression about India and Pakistan by looking at our rivallay at PDF.....We are not really hell bent on killing each other as of today..:-):-):-):-)

And not forgetting the in-depth assistance from numerous number of Israeli, French, Russian and US technicians. Credit must go to them too. Without them there would be no LCA. :-)

Yet the messed up and have to wait for MK2 which will not see the light for another decade.

AERO INDIA: Tejas Mk2 gets canards, big payload boost
By Greg Waldron20 February 2019

India’s Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) has detailed a number of improvements for the planned Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) Tejas Mk2 fighter.

The Mk2 benefits from Indian Air Force experience with the Mk1, says an ADA official. A prototype of the new aircraft, which features the addition of canards behind the cockpit, will likely fly in late 2023.

Key changes the Air Force asked for were additional range and the ability to carry advanced standoff weapons, he adds.

The maximum all-up weight will grow to 17,500kg, up from 13,500kg for the baseline Tejas, and the aircraft is 1.35m longer. The longer fuselage allows for more fuel behind the cockpit, and the Mk2 will be able to carry more drop tanks.

The extra length changed the fighter’s center of gravity, requiring the addition of a forward lifting surface. The ADA looked at a number of options, including leading edge extensions, but finally decided on canards, which also help with maneuverability. The new aircraft also sees improvements made to the fighter’s delta wing.

“The forward canards help in other areas too,” says the official.

Other improvements include an upgraded engine, the General Electric F414-INS6, of which four examples have already been obtained. The related, but less powerful, F404 powers the Tejas Mk1 and Mk1A.

The Mk2 will be able to accommodate 6.5t of external stores, up from 3.3t for the baseline jet. The new fighter will have wingtip hardpoints added for air-to-air missiles, as well as two cheek stations for stores or sensors.

To highlight the Mk2's differences from the Mk1, a company brochure labels it the Medium Weight Fighter (MWF), whereas the Mk1 was labeled as the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA).

The Mk2 also receives an internally mounted infrared search and track (IRST) sensor, a missile approach warning system (MAWS), and an improved cockpit.

Separately, the Tejas Mk1 appeared in the static display with a locally developed active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar installed. The radar, developed by India’s Electronic Research Development Establishment (LRD), was visible through a special clear nose cone.

The radar has undergone both mechanical integration on the jet and avionics integration in the lab. Though mounted on a test aircraft that flew to the show, the radar has yet to be powered up in the aircraft. This is due to take place in the next month. The LRD expects that two years of testing will ensue, followed by half a year of proving work.

The new radar will eventually replace the mechanically scanned Elta EL/M-2032 now used on the fighter.

“[The radar] is capable of tracking multiple targets with high accuracy suitable for firing missiles and interleaved air-to-air, air-to-ground, and air-to-sea modes for all terrain solutions and high mission reliability,” says LRD.

Last time I checked, 70-80% of it was imported.
