LCA Mk.2 Operational Clearance Not Before 2022 !!

LCA would crash if it would fly your plane has pretty much refused to fly. Pakistan has already produced 5 JF-17 Block I and first squadron of BLOCK II is also about to come and work on BLOCK III has begun this is what you call development.

Not a bad option of the Fighter Air Craft developed by South Korea
what other option did your country had except Jf 17....Let me give you a little clear picture since 2000 your airforce has inducted 68 4th Gen fighter
18 F16 Blk 52 +
50 Jf 17 Blk 1
and on the other hand since 2000 IAF and IN has inducted
260+ 4TH Gen Fighter
215+ Su 30Mki
45 Mig 29K.....

and all of us know that all of the 260+ jets are better then your 50 jf 17 Blk1....

Dude, IAF thought process is very clear!

They are going to face PLAAF in the future, though they are operating obsolete fighters now but in future PLAAF lower end fighter will be J-10 equipped with AESA.

They are ok with MK-1 but it is seriously short legged. It should be good enough to face J-10 hence need serious fuel capability increase.

IAF seems not fully committed in inducting LCA they may want a foreign jet like M2K to be inducted in numbers. If they are really committed in inducting LCA for replacing old jets then they should have started inducting it in small batches 10-14 jets in at least 2 years and also keep upgrading it too, IAF have good numbers of front line jets to face any imminent threat from China (actually there is no imminent threat at all from them) as far as PAF is concerned IAF already have numerical and technological advantage over them.

Yes Thats Why 19 LCA MK1 Already in Serial Production 6 of which Will be delivered to IAF By year End

PS: ADA Also Started on working on Upgrade of LCA MK1 which LCA -1P Mounted with AESA and Avionics Upgrade
..:: India Strategic ::. Top: HAL developing LCA-1P with AESA Radar

Yeah right, now no one is allowed to discuss even freely.
I have never abused any memeber, never used wrong words.........yet i am threatened with ban.

Well almost whole of subcontinent has a problem with truth and u are no different,i know tejas is just an average plane that has been delayed endlessly and i have said this time and again but where is ur moment of truth on jf-17??

If u cannot moderate properly based on rationality u better find some other job.

Oh you want to be sanctimonious after your countless warnings and insults. Let me actually do my job and confine trolls like you to the stupid and funny section. And stop using your multiple IDs to thank yourself.. that's like giving yourself head.

that was already solve . S/w patch update , and those problem was on Russian origin Screen . Now Screes are Made in India with Indian technology.

Their is no news on OBGOS , as far as BK-II is concerned . Please show me link, would like to see.

Sure, it was solved AFTER 5 years of declaring the aircraft fully operational. But hypocrisy is a very PDF Indian trait.

As for the OBGOS news, why dont you search the forum Some-place specifically called the JF-17 thread since YOU made the claim that it does not. Otherwise, keep the JF off this thread or you will be kept off it.
That goes for everyone, including Pakistanis.

lol , Su -30 MKI , Screen problem was came after 5 years and taken and solve. Now its very difficult to understand to the Non -tech person why the problem came after 5 year. because the S/w is keep on updating . The latest updated S/w patch was the problem and it updated with another patch and rectified.

I know its difficult to understand , especially non-technical person, what s/w update patch etc.

Im a communications engineer.. who worked on C4I systems that would help my troops kill yours... so enlighten me.

1st flight to induction in 3 years?

Impossible!

LCA Mk2 is Direct Production Aircraft And Slight Upgrade.LCA Mk2 Will Not Face Certain Difficulties Because of the Eco system Is Already Created during Development of Lca MK1 . Eventually J-10B is Made its first flight in 2008 and Goes into Serial Production Within 4 years of Its First Flight

Secondly LCA Mk2 is Public-Private venture And going On Schedule right Now.Getting GE414INS6 Engines this year Only

Though the numbers will fall for IAF, it is well augmented new jets with very higher capabilities..like MKI replacing Mig -21s. So basically there is no hurry to induct since the hawks were inducted in order to give the basic jet level training too. Actually they are being forced to do so, which did not give them a huge hike in operational capabilities.

Apart from that there is always a kick buck story in foreign imports.

Technologies, systems engineering and experience gained during development of LCA Tejas Mk-II would benefit the development of Fifth Generation Aircraft indigenously.
Atleast make the first product properly and induct a sqd of lca in iaf in full operational role and then make tall and unending claims regarding lca MK2 and fifth generation aircrafts.

Government has sanctioned project for development of LCA Mk-II in 2009. Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) is the prime agency for development of LCA Mk-II with the public and private partnerships. All the above mentioned shortcomings in LCA Mk-I have been addressed in LCA Mk-II version.

Nice joke, they have addressed the 53 shortcoming and deficiencies of lca mentioned in CAG report only on paper.
We are already sick of ADA claims regarding lca. Claims nothing but claims.

Absence of Internal Jammer affecting survivability.

• Aircraft performance shortfalls.

• Maintainability issues.

The above shortcomings were primarily due to following reasons:

• Internal jammer technology at that time was based on TWT amplifier which needed about 1000 ltr volume space for integration on aircraft. Hence it could not be accommodated at the time of development of LCA Tejas, Mk-I.

• The maintainability issues were raised by Indian Air Force (IAF) late in 2009, when design and drawings were already frozen for Mk-I. However, many of the safety critical maintenance issues are already addressed in Mk-I.

The LCA Mark-I, which got Initial Operational Clearance in December, 2013, significantly falls short (20 permanent waivers/33 temporary concessions) in meeting the Air Staff Requirement (ASR) that has led to its reduced operational employability, the CAG said.

When the air frame is obsolete design of the 80s mirage 2000, it will limit the ability to fight modern war. It's great that India tried and fail. As this is better than failed to try. But it's also better to bury a dead corpse than keeping a dead corpse up right pretending to be alive. India has MKI and Rafale. So I see this as a parade plane to drum up national pride. Nothing more..
