LCA Mk.2 Operational Clearance Not Before 2022 !!

I really don't know what Cobham is doing here, we had other options.

its not encouraging to hear that even after 3 delays we r not looking for alternative solutions,,,but thn again I believe delay is more thn just for the quartz cone n probe.

If you have gone for probe and drouge then you are stuck. Simple
 
but bro still it has taken 20 yrs after funds started flowing, any how private sector opening to defense is the solution and way forward now

The project for design and development of Light combat Aircraft (LCA), Tejas Mk-II was sanctioned in November 2009 at a cost of Rs.2431.55 Crore with Probable Date of Completion (PDC) of December 2018. However, because of delay in finalisation of Engine Contract, the project could start only in December 2013. As a result, maiden flight of first Prototype and Operational Clearance are likely to be completed by December 2019 and December 2022, respectively. There after induction.

That's the only thing that need to be check out from the list for FOC. Everything is done, BVR trials is/will be going on.

That's not bad at all. Compare it to other aerospace industry's programs.
 
Technologies, systems engineering and experience gained during development of LCA Tejas Mk-II would benefit the development of Fifth Generation Aircraft indigenously.
 
Dude, how is a failure tell me, Its delayed ya Damn Delayed... Why the mk2 is taking time is because IAF is not some poor unprofessional Force, they want their fighter to be in certain level. Tejas mk1 except the radar is itself once of the best in its class in south Asia, and the radar problem will be taken care with new AESA ones. But still why IAF don't want them ??? Becasue it doesn't meet their Specification and almost all of them will be met in MK2 but for DRDO standards it'll take time.

If your so professional air force keep changing requirements then in future this design will be obsolete as 5th Gen will be common thing when LCA will be ready so late around 2035 (if IAF keep delaying it).
 
For GOD sake please accept your failure, end this project and move on. South Korean Light fighter can be good alternate.
lol the F-16 which rejected by. F-16 after it get failed in Trails is the main plane for PAF ..... so now you can judge the level of planes required.

well environment is changing and Tejas will evolve , Right now in the learning curve , after that any changes will be implement faster rate , once all things are In place.

We have yet to reach the foc for mk1 but is there any comparison between lca and jf-17 as far as domestic contribution from india and pakistan goes??

Actually it takes courage and self esteem to appreciate an accomplishment of another.. and Indians like you have zilch..

At the end of the day, the Tejas is a prime example of a FUBAR development project. Like a Mango that was left too long on the tree and frantic attempts are being made to try and somehow use genetic methods to fix it.

It was a fine design, a fine idea.. but like it or not.. the Indian R&D mentality along with the IAF's own mistrust of local products(not unfounded) have left the project going in circles.

Any further posts with the .. pardon my french.. Chu*** idea on the JF-17s origins without knowledge will lead to that member being restricted to stupid and funny for the next two months before they learn intellectual honestly.

As far as IAF concerned , they do not take plane other then full battle ready. If you seen the contest , they rejected the F-16 due to failed in many parameter, especially in Cold trials. Which is the work house of PAF but do not find fit in IAF quality parameters.

Dude, Your JF is flying becasue its developed by China not Pakistan, What you should do is start a project and build a fighter from Scratch then you've to make such a statement and compare it to ours

if it was french air frame design it would had not faced any aerodynamic problems, do u even have an AtoA missile of ur own???we have astra, if u dont have the best get the best, kaveri failed due to these foreign maal lovers and our 9-5 job scientists, air frame, design, half of the avionics, landing gear, fly by wire, paints (hmm that is surely indigenous).....u toh even have to import paint........pilot, flight controls and interface is indigenous, pluse doppler multimode radar is ours,on board oxygen generators is ours....,digital flight control computer is ours,HUD is developed by us ADE...and much more can u develop even an 150cc engine for a bike?????8-)

that was already solve . S/w patch update , and those problem was on Russian origin Screen . Now Screes are Made in India with Indian technology.

Their is no news on OBGOS , as far as BK-II is concerned . Please show me link, would like to see.
