why won't we build up our defenses in the border areas? and yes it makes absolute sense for our defense minister to throw your silly threats in the dustbin and visit the AP. these moves just point to the fact that we have hardened our stance politically as well as militarily.

It is common sense that Attacker have to incur far more losses then a defender given that one who is defending is decent enough opposition!!!

There is also a reason that people say strength brings peace. If i am a formidable opposition then risk/cost analysis will rise viz-a-viz benefits of the conflict thereby eventually pushing the notion of conflict out of the strategic sphere...Does any of the above make sense to you???

Nehru didn't even have the decency to deploy troops despite several calls from the defense ministry and army command to do so.

the Chinese themselves know that India has long since abandoned Nehruvian foreign policy which is why they have not tried anything major since the 1967 Nathu La incident and the 1984 deescalation is proof of this. in fact when war with Pakistan happened in 1971 several mountain divisions were already deployed in the North east to counter any Chinese attack.

all we can do now is offer stats quo and hope for better relations and a all together prosperous Asia in fact i believe the sheltering of the Tibetans was foolish and an folly in terms of relations with our red neighbor whats even more sad is our gov't gives special concessions like food,aid,blankets etc to these refugees when hundreds of millions of Indian Citizens live in absolute poverty you see this is why you never vote for the Congress party... hopefully in 2014 Shiri Modiji will be our leader and lead us to prosperity.
