Languages of ME and Africa

I actually think that the Ge'ez script is cool.

I personally wish success and prosperity to the Horn of Africa and I hope that the Arab world can have cordial and closer ties to Horn of Africa (Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti and Somalia). KSA, UAE, Egypt and other Arab states are increasing their presence and influence in this part of the world.
Thanks.
I think our names for each letter are quite similar to Arabic too, with the exception of some letters.

Well as far as I know there was no viking in my ancestors. But you can arguably say Pathans share some characteristic with them

No, GMO food in EU yet... That's the aspect I love about Europe. But we have farmed and wild Salmons.. But recently it has become quite expensive. I love the taste of Pakistani fish as well.

I believe you

Somalians,Ethiopians and Eritreans speak the same language yet they hate each others guts.
Despite my time with them in DC I still didn't learn why they hate each other's guts??
We don't speak the same language lol

@wedi please don't mind running a parallel discussion on your thread. I have no idea about African languages though I know that in most of the north African countries Arabic is spoken alongside French.

That is fine, most people do not know much about African languages, even I don't, there are too many and only some big ones.

Many people think that Russia is bigger in area than Africa due to 2d flat maps.
In fact, Africa is twice as large. Most of the languages are primitive and didn't develop into modern communications and I really can't pronounce it

I don't know about Africa or UK but in Washington DC I have seen them argue in the same language many many times.

Maybe that's how they roll lol

The dilemma simply is that they compete for the same resource thus creating a cute brotherly rivalry but mostly religion plays the important role and some cultural stuff.

Quite fascinating

Ethiopians and Eritreans speak the same language, but Somali is different.

@wedi ?
Only some Ethiopians/Eritreans speak the same language, Tigrinya, and they belong to a specific ethnic group. That ethnic group is the majority in Eritrea but not the majority in Ethiopia. Most Ethiopians speak Amharic and Oromo and you may get some of the older generation of Eritreans speak Amharic, but not really the younger ones, due to history.
They are similar languages though.

Most likely through Amharic then, but probably not Somali's. DC is mainly Ethiopian/Eritrean.
