JICA is indeed doing a great work by supporting developmengt projects in many countries and for turning (KCR) into a mass transit system they have not only provided loans on soft conditions but have also prepared feasibility report

About time you learn what you preach

Veeru was the first one who brought india into the thread and derailed it. So for now on just post news related to the Karachi and Lahore metro lines, not stuff about India.

I have noticed this about the indian's, whenever there is a thread - which has something interesting and positive to do with Pakistan, the same losers with their inferiority complex, jump in with either india has this and that, totally off topic, or they say it's not true etc etc.

For your information, some people in india are very nice, but frankly large parts of that same said country, is like a toilet, with huge amounts of ghastly sights, things that make you want to take your eye balls out and wash them.

Why then would, indians troll about other people's countries is beyond me.

Sreedharan in Lahore to advise Pak on mass transit rail system

Islamabad, Mar 05: The brains behind the swanky Delhi Metro Rail, E Sreedharan today visited Pakistan on an invite from the government to advise it on plans to build a mass transit rail system in Lahore.

Sreedharan, the Managing Director of the Delhi Metro Railway Corporation, was invited by Suleman Ghani, Chairman Planning and Development of Pakistan's Punjab government, for a four-day visit to Lahore to discuss plans and advise on building a mass rapid transit system in the city, officials here told a news agency.

The Pakistan Foreign Office, however, has not permitted an Indian diplomat from here to go to Lahore to assist Sreedharan during his visit, officials said.

Pakistan planned to build mass transit systems for both Lahore and Karachi to meet increasing rush of the urban transportation.

Sreedharan was expected to be in Lahore till March 8 and would take part in meetings with local officials.

Not sure about lahore but there is a network in karachi of circular railways , they were up and running until late 80s now the rail tracks are mostly occupied by land mafia for known reasons
