It's a matter of more than 60 years, isn't it?
Where do this come from?
These ignorant ultranationalists in India are our best friends. They do not have a clue of what is about industry and manufacturing. They probably will never understand producing a good-quality bearing is more difficult than assembling an aircraft carrier.
Apart from their own backward mentality which hinders their own development, automation, AI and IoTs are maturing in major industrial countries leaving little room for india.
Again, no.
Every country has their ultra nationalists. Even China does. And Chinese ones also cause harm.
What must be looked at is rather if the policies are good.
As for automation, etc. these aren't going to automate all jobs. In fact new jobs will be created while a lot of old ones will remain.
For example textile. There is no automation happening here, neither is anyone trying to do so.
Also, you must realize that in the age of globalization, you can simply buy technology. The other way is also to receive FDI for manufacturing.
In fact if you look at auto sector, India is very competitive in auto and auto parts, and it was through FDI and tech purchase.
