Kuwait To Announce Mechanism For Expulsion Of 100,000 Expats Yearly

Yeah that could be a plus point, a refugee is willing to work anywhere.

It is true. The Saudi economy is not exactly booming. Do not go by the stories of the Princes. Plus the Saudiazation of businesses ie compulsory hiring of Saudis as a percentage has hit many organisations very hard there. So one way out is to cut costs at the very lowest levels.

I wasn't just talking about Arab nations. I was talking across the board. Pakistan isn't a free nation, we have earned our freedom from the British, however we are still to earn our liberty.

I don't understand how could a rational person like yourself believe in this, the same thing I here from people that countries like Turkey and Jordan are "Zionist puppets" even from Jordanians and Turks themselves. There is no nation on earth nowadays 100% independent including USA itself, independent in terms that it can't fully pursue it's interests without taking others interests into account, it's economy to some extent dependent on China and oil countries. However independence is different from country to country, unless you would like Pakistan to be as independent as NK. I tell you, the problem is in inside Pakistan.

Watch this video and ask yourself why USA did it in Egypt, Libya, Syria...ect, but didn't dare to do the same in GCC:

This is a speech of the former US cheif of the CIA in 2006 about Arab Spring:

I believe those revolutions were done by people but USA has something to do with it.

Even that works only up to a point. You have to fire a lot of janitors to save the costs of just one or two middle managers.

If its true, why is this coming in effect now ? Very curious...are they afraid the expats might incite violence ?

What I gathered on some visits to KSA is that there is a churn going on. Its not as if jobs are being eliminated. But lower cost national labor forces or sources are being increasingly sought as substitutes. That is how the cost-cutting is taking place. I am not familiar with all comparitive wage structures but Burmese workmen have been specifically used as such a means in other countries and in some specific lines of business. With the re-opening up of Burma to the world, this is likely to increase. Even in KSA it has nothing to do with Rohingyas or rehab of refugees; its about costs.

Don't know about Saudiazation, but the Emiratization and Omanisation projects have given sort of fruitful results...oman has greatly benefited, they are a full fledged country so their need for retaining a Omani character was more urgent than other smaller states IMO.

That is true. Many of these countries have a latent fear of being swamped by expatriates, not the Western ones but by South Asian ones. That is also a factor. Not to mention the "Arab Springs" springing up here and there; not adding to any of the Ruling Classes' comfort zones.

Yup, Dubai has more Asians than Arabs or Emiratis.

@somebozo

Give me a 10 point agenda for your revolt.

1. Restoration of national honour, trust and dignity. Equality of citizens and abolition of all castes and fedual lordship - by force if necessary. No more sardars, chaudhry and waderas. Land ceiling and reforms to be introduced. All surplus land to be confiscated and distributed among landless poor. Free access to high tech agri resources for small farmers. Target to boost agri output by 200% in five years using modern agriculture technology.

2. Restoring peace, stability and credibility. No more lame concessions and excuse for tribal backward-ism. Mandatory free education up to diploma level for all citizens.

3. Strengthening of state security and top to bottom reforms in LEA's. Formation of new branches for domestic intelligence under provincial authority. Modular and computerized police force system integrating latest technology, CCTV's, face recognition, citizen awareness by SMS, etc. GSM operations should be integrated with police networks to broadcast urgent crime news in specific areas at the time of crime so culprits can be point out and caught much faster.

4. End of Forex and Dollar dominated economy, Pakistan is a resource rich country which has hosted some of the wealthiest civilizations on earth for thousands of years and no reason it cannot do it now.

5. End to foreign interference in domestic economy and politics. No to foreign aid and IMF or World Bank handout. Separation of state and religion. End of gender discrimination and violence against women. Ban on all religious, linguistic and ethnical parties by force if necessary. Exiled persons cannot take part in national politics and so do dual and foreign citizenship holders. Countries which provided refugee to wanted fugitives and financial crime convicts will have their diplomats house arrested and their immunity invalidated.

6. Ban on export of essential raw materials and produce. Millions of people are going hungry and equal numbers are homeless while national infrastructure is in shambles yet we keep exporting our wheat and cement to earn forex reserves. While Pakistan earned its independence from Britain on 14 August 1947, the remains of British resource exploitation through forex dominated banking system is still an iron collar around our neck.

7. Reduction of industrial taxes to 10% and personal income taxes to 5% but expanding tax net to cover everyone. Only 0.9 Million people out of 180 Million pay their due share of taxes which is pathetic. 15 Years imprisonment and confiscation of business for tax evaders. Higher limits of tax free incomes for SME owned by widows and retired personals. Building a talent-competitive FDI destination rather than exploitation of cheap labor to full fill disposables demand at WalMart. Capital and investments should be put to serve the needs of people and not people being exploited to richen select few enjoying their lives in raiwind, larkana, london, dubai and USA.

8. Iron fist measures to ending corruption. All wealth hoarded in Swiss banks to be confiscated and returned to national treasury. All politicians, mullahs, Taliban and anti-state elements like Hamir Mir, Mullah Bradar, and Paracha will be put on public trial and executed by firing squad. Tribals should fix their act and integrate into society or find a new home in Afghanistan. We are a state of civilized people and there is no space for cavemen.

9. Tough foreign policy with regard to Kashmir and Afghanistan. Massive expansion of indigenous military industry and re-armament to face two front threat. Formation of regional power and trade block and non-aggression pact with all neighboring countries. Paid military conscription for all able bodies men & women. Those who do not qualify for military will be placed into police and para-military forces. Pakistan should be a neutral state in all world conflicts and accord full diplomatic recognition to all UN member states.

10. Self sufficiency in energy and fuel by strong R/D to utilize waste land for growing various fuel crops. To cut down oil imports by 50% in ten years by developing indigenous alternative fuels. Building strong and tolerant culture which should be capable to resist "Indianisation" of Pakistan while project strong national identity and recognition in rest of South Asia, Central Asia and GCC.

A refugee is more desperate than any other guy.

Refugees are desperate, yes, but so are millions of others who seek jobs that pay far more than what their homeland offers. The more desperate they are, the more chances they take.

I understand your point, but even that churn has limits on the amount and the floor it can achieve. It is not as if senior janitors get paid far more that can be replaced by lower paid janitors without any limits. Below a certain pay, migrants will go elsewhere or create social problems in the host country. Blue collar jobs in the Middle East have been approaching that floor over the last many years.

Interesting list, but this point intrigues me the most.

Our history had a wealthy civilization relative only to the mainly agrarian cultures that existed back then. Creating a rich civilization on the basis of agrarian or other raw resources is a much harder task these days when knowledge and service sectors create the most wealth, hundreds of times greater than what any civilization in history has ever created.

They simply cannot let the sub-continent blue collar worker go...they need these people...Arabs are not going to drive trucks and buses, they aren't gonna clean gutters, do plumbing, do carpentry, stand in the heat to do labour, clean the streets and all sorts of other jobs.

They are, in a way, in need of us.

On one hand we blame Saudi Arabia for being run by foreigners and when criminals are kicked out, their Godfathers start crying.

Illegal & criminals, have to go and there are clear rules about it from beginning.

Yup, Dubai has more Asians than Arabs or Emiratis.

Asian and Arabs is no nationality and but Emirati is.

Dubai is home land of Emiraties, they built it from scratch.

I confirm, negative!

2020 or 2025 USA will be completely energy independent countries that rely completely on oil and nothing more will be greatly effected by this change.

There is no cost cutting involved!

It is about upholding the visa laws, which are being violated on mega scale and to protect those who are legal and rightful.
