I know I will trigger many AKP-fans but those series are used as a drug for AKP-voter ummah fans to make them think the Ottoman Empire in it's decline was the strongest state in the World.
I remember seeing a scene from Payitaht: Abdulhamid while trying to search for something to watch. The Sultan was shouting to an ambassador-I think he was English- and making big words to him like '' I won't give these lands which my ancestors gave their lives for it'' but in reality he gave away all of N.Africa except Libya, half of the lands in the Balkans and the Cyprus LMAO
I know, and as you can see, I have an Ottoman general who defended the Mecca in WW1 as my pp. Most of the Turks either thinks that the Ottomans at their decline Arabized it's population in order to keep the empire together; or that Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was a traitor who destroyed the holy Ottoman Empire. But I don't, they both have special places in me. I just said the truths. The turkish ottoman empire is mainly celebrated in the islamic world for one big reason only and that is its protecton of mecca and madina, something which happened only probably after the abbasids, if the ottomans hadn't done that it would never be considered as a holy caliphate. Ottomans made severe mistakes esp with the muslims of the indian subcontinent by dealing with the british when the indian muslims were keeping ottomans in high regards. Something which is seldom known.
regards
Holy ****, there's no way that's real
Yes but at the time Jauhar brother es were running a campaign in what was then British India and Muslims from what's now Pakistan were going to Ottoman empire for helping them in various ways.in one episode of Payitaht Abdul Hamid series the sultan calls out to Pakistanis, but there was no Pakistan in his time.. lol
Not really.. he said 'our Pakistani brothers '' something like that..how can you even say something about the a series you didnt even see yet.I haven't watched that series yet but obviously he was calling Indian Muslims...many of whom would later be Pakistanis...or their descendents...
English subtitles are available from now onwards. Unofficial though on YouTube۔ People start posting from Thursday and on Friday plenty available۔I haven't watched that series yet but obviously he was calling Indian Muslims...many of whom would later be Pakistanis...or their descendents...
Waiting for English subtitles. If there's a good source with Urdu subtitles, I'll watch that too.
As you can see there are many similarities between both Erdogan and Abdulhamid so that's why the AKP is trying to make them worship Abdulhamid with such shows. If you've watched that series you'll know what I mean. It's not like I hate Abdulhamid, I mostly like him but his policies are debatable and I also didn't like many policies of him. I mean, I could write thousands of pages about his policies, but I like him. But these AKP-voters literally see both him and Erdogan as a God, I'm not kidding. They would rather to see his reign for forever than seeing our country stronger. I might sound very anti-AKP but I am also anti-CHP. I don't care about ideologies or persons like the rest of Turkish people. I only care about seeing my country stronger. Not really.. he said 'our Pakistani brothers '' something like that..how can you even say something about the a series you didnt even see yet.
I have great respect for Abdul Hamid as a person and leader but these series they just stretch it..
half of the time you would see palace politics between wives and maids..it bores the hell out of any history buff..

Ertugrul was TRT and they didn't mind people privately translating and posting on YouTube and Facebook۔
Osman in ATV and they been going gung-ho on anyone who posted a translation ، getting YouTube channels banned on copyright claims۔
But people like me complained to them in abundance and only now they have listened۔
Now they don't make copyright claim against people who post translation۔
I knew that our series were quite popular in many Muslim countries but didn't know that Kurulus Osman and Payitaht Abdulhamid were popular too lmao
Actually he's not the only complainer. Everybody here complains about it. The thing is, most of our series are full of political shit between moms-wives and daughters. It doesn't matter if the theme is drama, history or even a comedy; our shows are full of them. You also have to realize that "palace politics" have existed and still do in current times...
Well, if everyone is happy with what they got...People didn't give out their daughters to the Ottoman Harems without a reason.
Anyone else whatces the series?
I am a big fan. Watched the entire Ertugrul series and today watched the episode 17 with unofficial Urdu translation.
The story has taken an interesting turn
He's a Angry Easterling.....anything that doesn't come from goras is inherently bad to him.
It is quite "original" in what it shows and how it shows it.
Bring me any "original series" that doesn't have fiction in it....in small or large parts.
The appeal of these series to the wider Muslim and non-Muslim world shows that they're a awesome series.
Let me know when the Pakistani drama industry, whose dramas are great in their own capacity, produces something the whole world can watch.
Of course brother...Hi,
It is 'ours' also---it is a part of our heritage as well---going back centuries. Conquests of Turkish origin warriors were far and wide over the centuries---they just did not start and ended what is Turkey but all thru the Islamic world---.
Ertugrul gave gave hope and character to muslims all over the world---it showed them that minuscule ray of hope that was missing from their lives---. It reminded them of from where they originated and what made them great for centuries to where they are now---.
The serial Dirilus Ertugrul was the most wonderful gift that Turkey could ever give to the muslim world---a hope for the revival---and an endeavor to search for your identity in a world that we ssem to be lost in---.

Actually, you can search about his family tree, he's neither Greek nor ''Donmeh'', that's something that illogical RTE worshippers (and the Greeks) claim in the country that Ataturk himself built from the dust. And about the Greeks, they claim everything we have (our lands, origin, foods, drinks, culture, you name it...) belongs to them, seriously they had no idea about this claim until Erdogan supporters started to loudly shout that Ataturk was a traitor who destroyed the holy Ottoman Empire. I don't worship Ataturk like as the Erdogan is seen as a God by his voters but we had one of the greatest leaders of all time and I highly recommend you to read about his life, his struggles and his ideas. He literally saved a nation that was destined to see genocides and become the slaves of others.Even your "Ataturk" was/is said to be a Donmeh.
