Look at the casualities in the Syrian war and you will see who fought eye to eye, SAA over 100k, FSA over 100k, SDF/YPG/PKK 12k (over 3k of them alone killed by Turkish Armed Forces).
Let's take the Deir Ez-zor front as example "SDF" & US fought for 3 fvcking months and took nearly the whole region, US stopped Air support for a week and they lost everthing again in 3 days. (That was the time were the Kurds... blamed Arabs within SDF for this humilation)

Same goes to Peshmerga in Iraq, all they did was waiting till US is finished with Mosul and Kirkuk and than clear the cities.

Every idiot can take this (Raqqa) after US Air Force dropped thousands of bombs.
