Kurdish Peshmerga clash with ISIS Terrorists

Go, Kurds!!! The USA should provide the Kurds with all the military gear they can absorb. Even a USA-Kurd joint forces base in Kurdish Iraq would be a very beneficial step for everyone in the middle East, especially the Kurds.

USA should step in itself and clear the Iraq with this menace

.
First the British promised Kurds their own state during the first World War but betrayed them. I hope USA doesn't back stab the Kurds.
How did British betray the Kurds? Can you provide a map what Kurds would get?

I'm too lazy to post, try google mate. Anyway here is a map being propagated on the internet.

Nope definitely no such thing promised for Kurds, this is what Kurds themselves dream.

Eastern Anatolia was actually promised to Armenians.

And PKK's camps are not in Turkey but Iraq, so they don't have to cross border to fight ISIS.

Maybe something propagated by Kurdish nationalists. But I have heard of this before by some Kurds. I don't know if it actually holds any weight. It would be nice to have a Kurd here to explain this.

Sorry but you don't make sense. Kurds weren't fighting for the Brits in WW1. So how could they have been betrayed by Brits?

.
Kurds are cool in my book as long as they dont poke the Turkish giants. The Iraqi Kurds have good relations with Turks btw.

I'm too old. And they don't need me. They just need the USA to be a steadfast ally, for a change.
That would be interesting. After several request from Turkey to resolve Syrian crises, US rejected getting involved. But when Kurds ask for help immediately helping them. I'm wondering how that would affect Turkish-US relations.

USA will backstab them. That is US foreign policy. You can see from the 19th century. Mexico, Panama, Canada, South Vietnam, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, etc etc.

US (and Israel) would 'dump' Turkey easily for a possible Kurdistan just because Kurds are technologically and economically less advanced and will allow the US more in return for 'protection' and military deals. After all, once Kurds have backing of the US, they can easily be armed and used by the US to be used as cannon fodder against Iran and Turkey under the pretext to 'liberate' the Kurds in these countries.

All true, that is why I think US won't get involved. If it does, it will send wrong signal to Turks. That would mean.. Kurdish request has more weight than Turkish request.

Iraq needs to stand united other wise it will fall
Too many divisions and fault lines being exploited by clerics and Iraq's neighbours.
rise of shiite force, then ISIS force than kurd force just tells Iraq will soon fall into pieces, Iraq desparately need a strong leader

or maybe this is how the natural correct division of the region would have been if the Colonial Europeans had not drawn straight lines across the map creating these artificial states. It seems likely that a strong sunni arab state uniting the Sunni areas of Iraq and Syria is emerging while the Syrian and Iraqi kurds will probably merge to create a place of their own if Turkey does not interfere.
