Krishna Leela Temple Bangalore

stupidity remains stupidity irrespective of how many people follow it.

majority of pakistan backs al-queda for example

Brilliant! So building a temple now is equivalent to supporting Al Qaeda? How many gun-toting ISKON pujaris have you seen?:coffee:

Besides, what proof do you have to back up your claim about Pakistanis supporting Al Qaeda?

.
like what exactly??

1)thele wala selling garlands?
2)thele wala selling bangles, religious books and other paraphernelias
3)thle wale selling some eatables outside.

hardly any jobs u were looking for!!!
I did not want to quote you, but your posts are provocative enough.

Even if the entire complex is created and run with zero jobs created, it is NOT their duty to create jobs.

It is not mandated that any time any money is used by any human being, a job must be created.
And no, you are NOT free to criticize how people spend their own private money regardless of whether jobs are created or not.

Lastly, I point out again, maybe the people of the region felt that there was need for a temple. You have no locus-standi on the issue.

@he-man : What @Contrarian is saying is that you have no right to decide how other people spend their private money. If they want to build a temple with it instead of a school, that's their right. But govt money shoud only be used for tangible public welfare, not to propogate any religion.

That being said, @Contrarian, you should realize that everybody has a right to their opinion, as long as they don't seek to impose it by force. If he-man thinks it is wasteful, he has every right to say so. He does not have a right to demand that it should be banned by law. I'm not sure, but from what I read he only gave his opinion that the money can be used in other ways that benefit people more. If he was suggesting that the govt should stop them from building a temple, he is wrong. The govt should neither promote any religion nor prohibit it.

To sum it up: If it is my money, I would rather see a school or a hospital built with it, than a grand temple. I would give this opinion to any rich person who wants to do some social service with his or her money. But ultimately of course it is for that person to decide how to use his money. In this case, it's the devotees' money being used by ISKON, and if they don't agree to building a temple, then they can stop donating to ISKON. But ISKON has every right to build whatever they want with money that was given to them volunatarily. And this goes for mosques and gurudwaras and anything else.

Yes it is justified, Patel is a great national hero and the people of Gujarat want a statue of him.

that says a lot how much u are thinking in economic terms

.
Pardon me but making such grandiose worshipping places is a colossal waste of money,,,the money would be better spent in setting up some training centre etc.

anyone agrees with me on this??
count me in! but then again who i am !

Build all the temples you want to. BUT WHY DO THE SCHEMATICS SHOW A FLIPPING "WATER SLIDE", AMUSEMENT PARK BANA RAHE HAIN KYA!!

I am against this typical Indian attitude that "I know best what others should do".
If we all just minded our own business, India would have been a far better place than it is.

And if tomorrow someone comes to me and starts giving me a lecture on how I should spend the money I have earned, I would probably call the cops for harassment.

Dude I may not need those Jobs but there are millions who need. Not everyone is engineer, doctor or scientist.

Is the money private money? Is it by donations?
If the answer to those questions is Yes, then it is justified.

If the people didnt want it up there, they would not donate. Simple as that.

However, if you are a citizen of Gujarat, and find that your tax is being used for something you find unproductive, you are by all means right to protest against that decision. I would support you there.
