Lets accept what you are saying, for once. These projects were planned in 2008 - 09 as per you and other Nooni propaganda machines. What was the dollar rate then and what is it today? Of course, these projects got detailed or took several years for only paper works i.e. feasibility reports etc. That is why these projects aren't done till date and are still on paper.

Hence, its safe to say that the project costs have definitely gone up in past 7 - 8 years because of these delays. Who is making up for this? ANP?

Besides, before you start running your mouth on this, let me bring following to your knowledge. Lets see what Punjab Govt, who is ruling Punjab since 2008, is doing with similar projects (planned in 2008, delayed and what is happening to them now):

وزارت پانی وبجلی نے 525 میگاواٹ کا چیچو کی ملیاں پاور پلانٹ پراجیکٹ ختم کردیا جب کہ پاور کمپنی کے چیف ایگزیکٹو نے بھی پراجیکٹ ختم کرنے کی تصدیق کردی۔

ایکسپریس نیوز کے مطابق شیخوپورہ کے قریب 35 ارب کی لاگت سے 525 میگاواٹ کے لگنے والے چیچو کی ملیاں پاور پراجیکٹ پر 2008 میں کام شروع ہونا تھا جو مکمل نہ ہوسکا جب کہ پراجیکٹ کی تعمیر کے لئے 3 ارب روپے بھی خرچ کئے جاچکے ہیں اور سائٹ پر مشینری بھی موجود ہے تاہم وزارت پانی و بجلی نے پراجیکٹ ختم کرنے کا اعلان کردیا۔ ذرائع کا کہنا ہے کہ شیخوپورہ کے قریب چیچو کی ملیاں پاور پراجیکٹ جس مقام پر زیرتعمیر تھا وہاں ٹرانسمیشن نظام پہلے سے موجود تھا جب کہ اس کے قریب پہلے سے چیچو کی ملیاں ہائیڈل پراجیکٹ بھی موجود ہے جس سے 4 سے 5 میگاواٹ بجلی حاصل کی جارہی ہے۔

دوسری جانب ترجمان وزارت پانی وبجلی کا کہنا ہے کہ پراجیکٹ کی تعمیر میں تاخیر کے باعث اس کی لاگت بڑھ چکی ہے جس کے باعث اسے بند کرنا پڑا جب کہ پراجیکٹ ناقابل عمل تھا اور کمپنی کے ذمے واجبات کی وصولی جاری ہے۔​

KP govt is re-opening or completing projects proposed / started by previous ANP govt. While on the other hand, Nakara League is busy shutting down their own projects which they had started themselves in their previous 5 years stint in provincial govt.

Lyari express and kachi canal is no credit to pmln govt , Neelaum jehlum has some credit to Pmln govt as its finacial arrangement was not done by the previous govt and the current govt is putting in finances and arranging it for this project . Govt has allocated 11 billion PKR for thsi project from budget and is in process of arrangement of foreign finances too . Now in these hydro powers all the financial close down was done by previous govt and pti kp govt didnot allocate any money for these projects . NO CREDIT TO PTI KP GOVT .

My point being there are tons of projects in execution phase in Pakistan that are just lingering on. If a government actually completes it, they also deserve credit. Rest if you are going to talk on party lines then let's end it here.
