Huntington Ingalls Industries Subsidiary AMSEC LLC Partners With HHIC Holdings Co., Ltd.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Apr 18, 2012 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Huntington Ingalls Industries HII +2.91% announced today that its subsidiary AMSEC has signed an agreement with Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Philippines, Inc. (HHIC-PHIL), a subsidiary of HHIC Holdings Co., Ltd. to work together in providing maintenance, repair and logistics services to the U.S. Navy and other customers in the western Pacific region.

The agreement with HHIC-PHIL allows AMSEC to benefit from Hanjin's state-of-the art shipyard at Subic Bay, Philippines, and accelerate Hanjin's growth into the maintenance, repair and logistics services as the U.S. Navy increases focus in the Western Pacific region.

"It's great that AMSEC's relationship with HHIC-PHIL has been firmly established," said Harris Leonard, HII vice president and president of AMSEC operations. "I am confident this important step will expand our efforts in providing quality technical services to our most important customer, the U.S. Navy, wherever they may be operating."
In some complicated deal, the US Navy warships deployed in western Pacific will be repaired and serviced by a Korean shipyard one of whose work site is located in Philippines.

So this ensures Philippines will see heavy US warship traffic.

China wouldn't like to see a heavy US warship traffic around Philippines.
Of course, we don't like to see a heavy US warship, So what, we can't match for USA, but we will exclude them out of SCS one day!! What about you, in the history, You counter other power, when do you can put you fate in your hand?

Thugs cannot misbehave while the policeman is around. The mere presence of US warships in the area has a calming effect on the behavior of Chinese coastguards.

When YOURS greater south korea coastguards take patrolling in China sea territories!?

As I know you already put their citizen in jail without any damn care, what you gonna do next....sinking Chinese civilian ships and militarily fleets??? humiliate 1.3 billion Chinese and make China your newest province???? declare to world the whole Chinese were a copied version of your greater viva korean???? force Chinese women to be your comfort women and serve your greater korean male???

Those chinese pirates deserve it. That's what happens when you intrude other country water. This is 21st century with international laws, you chinamen need to get out of the 'middle kingdom' mentality where you can do whatever you want to former tributary states.

Does this report have anything to do with China?

Can you get over with your immature obsession with China? :coffee:

This is not one of preparations for the presence of larger, more frequent U.S Navy in south china sea?

Exactly!
