Korea Won’t Send Aerobatics Team to China Air Show

BTW, I don't think South Korea will feel happy this time, since they were initially planning to use the Zhuhai airshow as a platform to promote their products, and now the US has simply jeopardized this chance with its own selfish motive.

Why the US is sending its own aircrafts to the Zhuhai airshow, not allowing South Korea doing the same?

lool did you even read my posts?? As i said the U.S is the rule maker here. so it can afford to implement all policies it deems fit for its interests. South Korea is still under the U.S and relies on it for almost all its existence(their military is under U.S command). So there you go.:usflag::enjoy:

.
It isn't the Koreans. It is that they can't get around their US command.

South Korea doesn't have its own turbofan engine, its own avionics, and they even depend on the US wind tunnel to set the aerodynamic design of their aircraft.

Stupid useless Korean pride as usual, what is the purpose to make this aircraft when you need the US to babysit you for everything? Just like their laughable Naro rocket, it simply can't do a damn thing without the Russian cryogenic engine.

. .
S Korea depends on China for its economic growth.

China, Japan, Middle East, ASEAN and the United States, EU are Korea's major partners.

As i said before, i myself have been south Korea few times, and i know the hatred they have for Japan. Its true they hate Japan more than any other country on planet earth(even moe than North Korea included.:agree:). However, im talking about the U.S influence/leverage over Seoul. The U.S is the main patron/bridge between both Japan and South Korea. So as long as the U.S is the dominant power in the region, South Korea won't go against U.S wishes/interests, since they depend on the U.S for almost everything. No matter how much South Korea hates Japan(i know they do alot), they wont go against U.S interests which involves having a close relationship between JAPAN-U.S-South Korea against a China/Russia duo in the region. U.S interests are better served having a Japan-South Korea bond chaired by the U.S. So expect it to remain this way in the foreseeable future.

South Korea has no choice other than to follow U.S rules/policies, though i do agree that had the U.S not been present in the region, then Seoul would have long taken agressive measures against Japan, even if it meant allying with China. However this is not the case, The U.S is still by far the dominant power in the region and this will remain this way for a longgg time to come.

This so called "hate" is more of a sentimental and emotional flare. They don't really hate us so to say, it's more so they (Koreans) want greater Japanese attention.

Ask any Korean about "Ilbo Nim" and they will say , overwhelmingly , they admire our culture, people, work force, society, anime, jpop, movies etc. In fact top visitors and tourists to Japan are Koreans.

We Japanese are probably as similar to Koreans. Second would be Chinese, in terms of psychology and culture.

So don't over emphasize Korean "hate" for Japan. They are probably the most obsessed about anything Japanese....

and the Koreans weren't smart enough to evade the elephants' game after WWII. Most of even the Southeastern Asian countries fared better than them.

Also that SK let US to fully control its military is beyond me and contradicts with the outward national pride the SKs seems to show. Maybe they got spoilt with their historic experience with China and thought foreigners would just leave after war. Apparently the yankees didn't.

I feel the same for UK when the US is also controlling the code of your nuclear arsenal, and you simply cannot launch it without their permission. :coffee:

well its true they kind of have a love -Hate relationship with Japan. The thing is they still have this feeling of inferiority complex towards Japan, and they are still taught in school about Japanese colonialism/repression etc. so this create a feeling of contnous hatred/rejection towards Japan. Even though many Koreans tend to also admire some facet of Japan like the culturesociety, work force, anime, etc many things which they copied/learned from Japan to emerge as a powerful economic power int heir own right in the region. However, they are still less powerful than Japan in almost all fields, simply due to size, so when the Koreans(who tend to be obessed with comparing themselves with Japan, kind of similar to the Indians towards China.lol) look towards Japan they see a country they must beat in all fields to prove something to themselves and make a point. I think Japans colonial rule still haunts them till today. This can be seen even in Asian games where their target is always trying to beat/surpass Japan. They never compare themselves to China, not just because China is simply too big/large for them, but simply because Japan is the country they want to compare/prove themselves to. Its indeed a strange/funny relationship the Japan-Korea duo.

Japan will always be bigger than its little brother Korea though, and this is something Korea finds hard to accept/hates.lol China is another matter, since they are simply too big and Korea doesnt have a recent colonial history with them(though they ruled Korea indirectly hundreds of years ago as well). I love Asia.....:D

But the U.S. doesn't occupy ROK. It's only at a particular military base. There's only some 25k Americans there, compared to some 500k ROKA troops.

LOL!!!!

I dated a Korean girl for over 3 years. I know exactly how passionate/obsessive they can be.

You're right tho that there is some kind of rivalry there. I mean, it's just so silly. I can never look down on Korea people, their women are beautiful. I can't hate beautiful people. LOL!
