i was about to ask the same question. India to my surprise is even more communist/socialist today than China to be honest.

Coming to topic, of course the U.S and any other country in Europe , neither my country as well, will never go to a nuclear war with China for whatever reason. I still dont understand why some people here can be soooo Naive(or maybe its more like desolution) into thinking otherwise. You think we will risk our livelihood/blood and a nuclear amagedon which will destroy the earth/make it uninhabitable for centuries just because of a small tiny island? lool Thats quite funny with all due respect. We will/might provide Taiwan with military,diplomatic,economic,financial and MAYBE implement sanctions against China if there was to be any invasion/war between the two. But will NEVER intervene directly, much less nuke another country(much less a nuclear power like China) for such a minor reason.lol Taiwan isnt that important for us to even thinkof using nukes, i cant really believe people on here even believe such a thing can happen.
Economic sanctions,military and economic support YES, but a direct full scale war/intervention/nuclear war.lool? NOPE NEVER.

Anyway, i dont foresee any war between Taiwan and China in the foreseeable future anyway. Both partiesseem to be rather ok with the status quo. Though i believe it will be better for Taiwan, if it were to press for any compromises with Beijing now rather than a decade or more from now, when the mainland will have grown just too powerful for them to have any chance at all to negotiate in high position. So i think time is on Beijing's side.

The sanctions against Russia won't work against China since there are sanction war between China and the US will cause the global economic meltdown.

China will lose all its growth, while the US will grow negatively with full of hyperinflation.

Good you said 'holds' the banner of socialism. Since in reality, China isnt anything socialist or communist at all. Its even getting more and more capitalistic/free trade than even us in the west/U.S

CPC will always treat the state owned economy as the backbone of China's economy.

The private economy is booming as well, but they will always follow the lead of the state owned economy.

We even have many common subject with Putin's Russia, since we both follow the state capitalism doctrine. And this also can be considered as a faction of socialism.

Yeah, I am here to actually do some research on the Indo-Pak Wars. But I like to be a bit of a devil's advocate and tease the more doctrinaire propagandists. Good to read your posts. We shall converse again soon, no doubt.
