KMT didn't give a damn about the lives of 500 million Chinese, and they just wanted to destroy CPC at any cost.

And I won't surprise that they still have this mentality until today.

So the best option is for CPC is to sit there and to watch DPP and KMT to kill each other.

KMT is a bigger danger than DPP, because they are still trying to deceive the Mainland Chinese by portraying themselves as the patriots. Thus, this abomination needs to be destroyed first before DPP.

if just one makes the wrong move could send us to a nuclear fiery nuclear apocalypse.

I'm sure the Russians and U.S. warned each other that both China and Taiwan had leaders that weren't playing with full decks.

Don't forget it was the 50's. The memories of atomic attacks on Japan were still fresh and nuclear weapons were just thought of as conventional weapons, ie to be used in battle like a tank or a soldier. The seperation of doctrines of nuclear and conventional warfare was still in its infancy.
