@al-Hasani Looks like you failed to convince people, they still think fat king is sh.t :D

What Erdo is good at is talking, he knows what to say to masses and also when and how to say, he got good speech skills. But I hate him.

11 people have thanked my initial post in this thread and while I discussed with some of them they agreed with the obvious hypocrisy.

King Abdullah is well-respected in the Islamic world and even non-Islamic world so I don't care if a few trolls like the one above are spreading diarrhea. He is a great leader and man.

PS: For a 90 year old then he is not fat at all. I don't think that he was ever fat. The former Qatari Emir was a fat individual though to put it mildly.

But let people insult a 90 year old man if that makes them happy. I respect him though and he has among the most well-liked people in KSA.

Sorry but where is he respected ? :D if he has a bit of respect its thanks to being the leader of the country which has Makka and Madina within its borders :)

I don't know what kind if person he's in his personal life, but in order to gain respect in this neighbourhood, you got to be furious and have a sharp tongue, I know is stupid to be able influence masses without doing anything but talking but thats how its works.

He is well-respected in the Arab and Islamic world as he has done a lot for many Islamic causes be it humanitarian aid, support for new Islamic centers, mosques across the world or interfaith dialogue etc.

I do not think that it is his character to be furious or have a sharp tongue. He seems rather cool-headed and I think there are limits to him acting furious in this age. They need to choose younger rulers in the future I guess.

No in all seriousness then he is a very well-liked leader in KSA. Much respected. He has a done a lot of good things.

I would like to hear the opinion of people from other Muslim countries, for my case, he's barely known by name in Turkey, let alone respecting entire Saudi family is generally perceived negative, they're considered passive and mannerless.

Well it might be largely due to high amount of rotten apples though.

Nah not Muslim countries, they don't like him.

I've read enough Muslim forums, videos (even Suuni scholars hate him) and comments about him, they all use the labels such as taghut, murtad and munafiq etc to King Abdullah for an obvious reason.

It's usually the GCC citizens that supports him but not sure about statistic because it's run by monarch.

You should stop reading those few extremist/Islamist forums out there (ENGLISH FORUMS) written by angry converts that want to conquer the entire Muslim world.

In general Pakistanis had a very positive attitude towards the kingdom may be a decade back or so but i think there is a shift now especially after the failure of Saudi regime to protect the interests of palestine or other muslim countries and the possibility of their involvement in the politics of other countries....Now i think we can safely assume that most Pakistanis are neutral towards them .....though its my own perception...not based upon any poll or stuff....

Besides Saudi always have influenced our politics ....the current government of pml-n has some old love with saudi regime ....they have sat on their laps ....Saudi and indians were the one who saved pml-n's chairman nawaz shareef ( the current prime minister of Pakistan) and his family during coup d'état of 1999... he found his refuge in Saudi , infact its second home to him ....

I wish Saudis and indians wouldnot have interfered at that time so we wouldnot have to see nawaz as pm of Pakistan ....they ruined it atleast for me ...thats why this guy is too pro indian

Basically only 3-4 Muslim countries overall have an unfavorable view (in total) of KSA. It's one of the most popular countries in the Muslim world (if not the most popular) and it also host more Muslim migrants than anywhere else.

That i already mentioned that Pakistanis dont have a negative stance or attitude towards the kingdom ...but i think its shifting towards kind of a neutral stance ....that already said by me ...its my own personal view based upon my observation and not any poll or research

btw it will be interesting to know the year this research was carried out and by whom

Despite this then I don't think that there is a more popular Muslim country out there.

because of that very reason i had an argument with you yesterday stating that the kingdom hasnt played the role as was expected out of it from the muslim or some favorable non-muslim countries ...kingdom should have led from the front to cement its stance whatever it might be ....you gotta learn that with more acceptance & power comes more responsibility

btw if you go through this article you mentioned even it states that the attitude towards the kingdom has significantly change in past 6 years ...there is a drastic changed in the attitude ...mostly because of faulty policies by the royal family

To tell you honestly then I don't care. I am not the ruler anyway and as long as KSA serves it people and improvements are done on all fronts (which is the case) then I can sleep well at night.
The priority should not be to make Indonesians, Nigerians, Turks or whatever happy with all due respect.

KSA enjoys the majority support of all Arab countries outside 1-2 which is the main thing here as this is our local region.

But I get your point although I don't think that KSA should seek any leadership role as it gives you more problems than benefits. Let the "big boys" (USA, China, Russia etc.) do that.;)
