To tell you honestly then I don't care. I am not the ruler anyway and as long as KSA serves it people and improvements are done on all fronts (which is the case) then I can sleep well at night.
The priority should not be to make Indonesians, Nigerians, Turks or whatever happy with all due respect.

KSA enjoys the majority support of all Arab countries outside 1-2 which is the main thing here as this is our local region.

But I get your point although I don't think that KSA should seek any leadership role as it gives you more problems than benefits. Let the "big boys" (USA, China, Russia etc.) do that.

btw if you go through this article you mentioned even it states that the attitude towards the kingdom has significantly changed in past 6 years ...there is a drastic changed in the attitude ...mostly because of faulty policies by the royal family i assume

Only reason some people without a reason favors Saudi Arabia is because of Makka and Madina, some people thinks its something "divine", thats especially applies to Muslim regions far from Middle East or holy lands, they have no idea about the real situation, in their eyes Saudi Arabia is all about Holy Lands and Islam. So I wouldn't call it a real influence of Abdush or something. His influence is mostly limited by several of the Arab states.

You are right that Israel have backing of NATO, US & West too, but if all muslim countries come sit and decide to take joint action then they have to back down may be even without fighting, as KSA, Turkey, UAE have advance air forces, Pakistan have cruise missiles like subsonic Babar, Ra'ad & supersonic CM-400AKG and also other muslim countries have their pros to offer combined we can become a potent threat to any aggressor as we will also have nuclear deterrent available too.

If we don't unite now, enemies of Islam will destroy us by using their proxies.

1/4 of Israhel military budget supply by USA directly.

All of their equipments are American. They will die whitout American aids.

I've started to see some really bad quality posts and name calling. Whatever one thinks of King Abdullah and KSA's regional role, I will not have PDF be used for such language.

I have no love for KSA's regional role myself. But regardless of how I view KSA, we can not use this thread for bashing KSA and its King.
