If this is indeed VX, there are only one way these lady is still alive, as we can see both weren't wearing gloves on the video, the only way they can stay alive is to wear a "Contact Gloves" which is a layer of thin plastic gel act like gel block and you applied on your hand before you handle the chemical, that gel will act like super glue on your hand which will block chemical from contacting your skin but since it is in a gel form, where you can wash away, along with the chemical at a washing station or a simple sink.

However, contact gloves are Russia Tradecraft, it was developed by Russian KGB and OKB (EDIT::OKB is a experimental design bureau in Russia, responsible for the contact gloves) during the cold war. That mean whoever uses this, would have been a spy, using Russian Doctrine. Because American doctrine uses latex (or skin peel in the field). Not contact gloves, where you just peel them away and throw it into a bin

These ladies are no by-stander if you ask me, from the way they attacked Kim Jong-nam and egress and how they effectively exited the airport soon after they have killed Kim. And if VX is involved, that certainly a espionage element involved.

The estranged half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was killed with a highly toxic chemical weapon known as VX nerve agent, Malaysian police said on Friday, citing a preliminary report.

Kim Jong Nam died after being assaulted at Kuala Lumpur International Airport last Monday while preparing to board a flight to Macau.

South Korean and U.S. officials have said they believe North Korean agents assassinated Kim Jong Nam, who had been living in the Chinese territory of Macau under Beijing's protection.

Police said swabs taken from the eye and the face of a North Korean national by the chemistry department of Malaysia revealed the presence of VX.

VX nerve agent, or S-2 Diisoprophylaminoethyl methylphosphonothiolate, is chemical weapon classified as a weapon of mass destruction by the United Nations.

"Other exhibits are under analysis," Malaysian police chief Khalid Abu Bakar said in the statement.

Police chief Khalid said earlier that a Vietnamese woman and a Indonesian woman wiped a liquid on Kim Jong Nam's face. They later washed their hands and fled the scene.

Airport camera footage released on Monday by Japanese broadcaster Fuji TV shows the moment the women appeared to assault Kim Jong Nam, who is later seen asking airport officials for medical help. He died on the way to hospital.

VX is tasteless and odourless, and is outlawed under the Chemical Weapons Convention, except for "research, medical or pharmaceutical purposes".

It can be manufactured as a liquid, cream or aerosol. Absorbed in large doses, it is fatal after 15 minutes, according to the U.S. Army's Edgewood Chemical Biological Center, making it the most toxic known nerve agent in the world.

Malaysia on Thursday requested Interpol to put an alert out to apprehend four North Korean suspects in the murder.

Police are also holding one North Korean man, but are seeking another seven in connection with the murder.

The Japanese Cult Aum Shinrikyo (奧姆真理教) have famously mix 200g of unadulterater VX Nerve Agent and try to assassinate 3 men, wounded 2 and Killed 1. It's quite easy once you know the forumula

This is the easiest of the Chemcial weapon you can get and if you mix it right, it's also the deadiest, you can mix it with counter chemical you buy in Supermarket and can be mixed with only basic Laboratory environment, that mean you don't need to bring anything over custom if you are trying to kill someone overseas, lowering your risk. However, the second part of the operation, the exfil part is a diaster, one was caught leaving the country from the same airport, the other was caught in an Apartment building.

Now these suggested two things, 1.) They have drill, training on how to execute the plan of killing Kim Jong-nam, regradless whether or not they are working with North Korean or not, they have planned it, know where the target is and will be, know how to get out of the airport so you don't bump into things, know how to carry out the assault without many people notice.

2.) They have not planned the exfil. Rather, exfil was not prepared. You NEVER go back to the scene of the crime, let alone exiting the country using the same airport. You either leave IMMEDIATELY (board the next flight after you killed Kim out of the country) or you wait in a safehouse. Both weren't done properly.

Now, the closest sscenario I can think of with this happens is this

WHoever behind this attack train these two girls to carry out the plan, and promised them a way to leave the country, the plan carried out, but the one behind the attack is expecting both of them to be killed or death, thus, exfil was not planned. Now, either the party behind this assassination betray the 2 girls, and they panic and starting to make mistake, or the cell leader did not think of the exfil plan throught because they weren't supposed to be alive. This is the onlly way what happen make sense.

Japanese cult also used VX; survivor recounts how it felt

TOKYO (AP) - A Japanese religious cult that carried out a deadly nerve gas attack on Tokyo's subways in 1995 also experimented with the VX nerve agent suspected in the killing of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's half brother in Malaysia.

Months before killing about a dozen commuters and severely injuring dozens more in Tokyo with sarin, another kind of nerve gas, in March 1995, the Aum Shinrikyo cult tried VX on at least three victims, killing one whom cult members believed was a police informant.

In their trial, cult members said they practiced using syringes to spray the deadly chemical on people's necks as they pretended to be out jogging. The suspected police informant spent 10 days in a coma before dying.

One of the people attacked with VX by the cult, Hiroyuki Nagaoka, told Japanese public broadcaster NHK on Friday that news of Kim Jong Nam's murder reminded him of his own experience.

He was walking on the sidewalk in his neighborhood in Tokyo in January 1995 when a member of the cult sprayed the nerve agent on the back of his neck. Most of it was blocked by his jacket collar.

"I had no idea what happened at that time," he said. He was attacked because he was a vocal opponent of the cult.

He finished walking home but about half an hour later realized everything seemed to be oddly dark - an effect of the toxin causing his pupils to shrink. He started feeling hot inside and, sweating profusely, took off his clothes.

His wife later told him that he got down on all fours like an animal, twisting and scratching his neck and chest, before rolling onto his back in pain and losing consciousness.

He was rushed to a hospital for emergency treatment, and was unconscious for several days.

"I was saved by the collar of the jacket I was wearing," he told NHK after officials in Malaysia said they suspected VX in the Kuala Lumpur killing.

He still has numbness on the right side of his body and uses an oxygen tube inserted in his nostrils to assist his breathing.

Nagaoka said when he saw Kim Jong Nam in an airport surveillance video walking unassisted for a while but gradually seeming to slow down, he thought it must be VX. He also said Kim might have been sweating heavily like he did, citing wet spots on Kim's shirt when he was shown slumped in a chair.

Malaysia Requests Interpol Alert On Four N. Koreans Suspects

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 23 — Malaysia has requested Interpol to put an alert out to apprehend four North Korean suspects in the murder of Kim Jong Nam, Malaysia's police chief Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said today.

The estranged half brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was killed in Kuala Lumpur's main airport last week, in what South Korean and US officials say was an assassination carried out by North Korean agents.

Khalid said today that two women — one Vietnamese, one Indonesian — arrested last week had been paid for carrying out the fatal assault on Kim Jong Nam using a fast-acting poison, but declined to say if they were working for a spy agency.

Police are also holding one North Korean man, but are seeking another seven in connection with the murder.

Three of them — a diplomat, a state airline official, and another man — are believed to still be in Malaysia.

The other four are believed to have fled Malaysia on Feb 13, the day of the killing.

Khalid told reporters that a request had been made to Interpol to put out an alert to apprehend the four suspects, who they believe have already made their way back to North Korea.

Khalid also said the police have sent an official request to the North Korean embassy requesting to interview the embassy's second secretary and the airline official, having released their names yesterday.

“If you have nothing to hide, you should not be afraid to cooperate, you should cooperate,” Khalid told reporters.

Khalid said an arrest warrant will not be issued for the second secretary, as he has diplomatic immunity, but that “the process of the law will take place” if the airline official does not come forward.

Police have still to receive DNA samples from Kim Jong Nam's next of kin, Khalid said. He also denied that Malaysian police officers had been sent to Macau, the Chinese territory where Kim Jong Nam and his family had been living under Beijing's protection.

North Korea's ambassador has said the Malaysian investigation cannot be trusted, and the embassy issued a statement yesterday saying that the three suspects that have been detained should be released.

Okay VX maybe easy to come by, but it's hard to use. So multiple people have to be involved, increasing your chance of being exposed. VX also leaves chemical trails which can be used as evidence. And why choose an airport? It's everyone's knowledge that that airports are one of the most monitored public places. We're not talking about assassinating some country's president here. The target is an unarmed, untrained middle aged man! This should be a simple job that can be carried out secretly by just one trained operative with a knife or any simple weapon.

VX is not hard to use, infact, if you don't care about your own health and safety, it's extremely easy to use.

On the other hand, knife and other sort of weapon is messy, you will have blood splatter everywhere, chances are your victim won't die immedidately and he will scream. The weapon of choice of a hit usually will not be intrusive weapon like a knife or a gun. Knife or Gun also leaves forensic evidence, you will have an entry pattern, projectile, entry and exit wound, gun powder pattern. In fact, gun and knife leave a bigger evidence trail than chemicals.

Killing people in a crowded place is simply make sense, when you kill a person silently, a crowded place will have 2 advantage, 1.) people everywhere, and that mean witness are going to have a hard time to pick up who did what exactly, as well, again, people everywhere. 2.) crowded place like an airport is a very good place to disappear after the hit. You can simply disappear in the sea of people.

A hit like that take skill, you can't just send anyone with a knife or a pistol with a silencer.
