Keran operation called off; Pakistan's support behind infiltration..

Is that so? Ever been to the LOC, seen all the ridges and nullahs? If you're lucky and IF you have prior knowledge of troop rotation even you can ingress about a few hundred meters in or someone from this side can do the same in the opposite direction. Although once you're beyond that point all bets are off as to how badly you'll get perforated by troops on both sides.

So, the ridges & nullahs are justification on lapses at IA part but not possible at PA part

May some Pakistani regulars have been killed but would not ever declared like kargil infiltration.

In this kind of terrine, a bird like LCH may quickly turn the table in your favor without much collateral damage. We need this bird urgently.

I have definite proof that the spider that tried to infiltrate my room through my window was sent by Indian support. The spider was carrying Indian passport. It was also very hairy so it must have come from India. :pop:

New Delhi: One of the longest anti-infiltration operations in recent times ended today with the Indian army finishing seven massive search operations of a three-km area in their mission to hunt down the terrorists in the Keran sector along the Line of Control.

In the operation that lasted 15 days, seven terrorists were killed and six jawans of the Indian army were injured. Army officials say an infiltration of this size could not have been possible without the support of the Pakistan army. (Foreign media on Keran operation)

"On the LoC, we are eyeball to eyeball with Pakistan Army. How can such a large group infiltrate without the complicity of the Pak Army?" General Officer Commanding, Northern Command, said today while announcing the end of the Keran operation.

Speaking at an event near Delhi today, army chief General Bikram Singh categorically said that the seven terrorists killed while infiltrating at Keran may have been part of a 40-member infiltration group. He also ruled out any domination or occupation of any area by the terrorists.

"Which adversary is going to dominate an area by sitting in a nullah? Sure, there was infiltration bid but that has been foiled. It was a desperate infiltration bid," Gen Singh said.

Bodies of dead terrorists may also have been dragged back or buried in crevices or the thick jungle, army sources said. (NDTV exclusive: First images of terrorists killed)

Yesterday, NDTV spoke exclusively to one of the soldiers who was engaged in the massive Keran encounter. He said that he saw 35 to 40 infiltrators as he took a bullet in the abdomen.

This would have made those terrorists realize that LOC is not Durand Line and India is not Afghanistan... anyone trying to infiltrate with a weapon in his hand will be shot at and if he lives he will be shot again....

Some regulars or mard-e-momins had trespassed and were sent to Allah by IA.

Leave it at that.

OMG. This statement is so hilarious. India being nearly 7 times larger than the state of Pakistan is still scared of launching even a single attack.

Man you Indians really do it to yourselves.

Army chief blames Pakistan for infiltration attempt in Keran

Indian Army chief General Bikram Singh said on Tuesday it was impossible for terrorists to infiltrate into India in Jammu and Kashmir without the knowledge of the Pakistani Army.

"Along the Line of Control, there is no way terrorists can operate in that area without the knowledge of Pakistani army," General Bikram Singh said on Tuesday.

He said the army has got much evidence, including a letter found with a terrorist, old information and intercepts.

He added: "The covering fire that is given to them to infiltrate, it comes from their posts."

"I am very clear, having known the deployment along the Line of Control no activities by the terrorists can take place without the support of the Pakistani Army," he told a news channel.

Talking to reporters at the Hindon air base, he said seven terrorists have been killed so far.

He also said it was not an intrusion but an infiltration bid.

"This is not an intrusion, it is a desperate bid for infiltration," the army chief said on the sidelines of the annual Air Force Day Parade.

"These terrorists were in a nullah (drain). What advantage would they get by sitting in a nullah. Seven of them have been killed," he said.

The terrorists were killed in last four days in a mop up operation in Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
