One of the Highest National flag in India hoisted today (26-01-2013) in Trivandrum by Kerala Chief Minister.

The flag pole is of 198 feet high, with a diameter of 4m at the base. The entire structure weigh more than 12 tonnes, bearing the tricolor which weigh 27 kg. The top of the flag pole is attached with special lights to illuminate the flag during night time, a sight which would be visible from almost anywhere within city limits. The flag pole is expected to turn into a major tourist attraction in Trivandrum.
