Youth 'kidnapped' by LeT returns to India from P.o.K

Jammu : A youth, who was apparently kidnapped by LeT terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir and taken to P0K for arms training, escaped Wednesday to the Indian side of the state along with his Pakistani wife and three children, seeking safety and shelter, officials said.

Mukhtar Ahmed, aged 25, crossed over to the Indian side from across the LoC and pleaded with the army to allow him and his family to return to their village in Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.

"The family includes Ahmed, his wife Safia, 24 and three small children named Mavia Hussain, 6, Mohd Zabeer, 3, and Fatima, an infant of eight months. The family was in a bad condition and pleaded for shelter on the Indian side from the troops of Indian Army," Col. R.K. Palta, army spokesperson, said.

"The troops immediately extended food and first aid to the family," he said.

It was around 5 a.m. in the morning when troops deployed on the Line of Control (LoC) in the Mendhar Sector, noticed unusual movement near the house of Mohd Taj, a village watchman of the border village Dheri.

When they reached the village to investigate the unusual movement, it was found that one family had crossed over to India from Pakistani-0ccupied Kashmir (P0K).

Mukhtar Ahmed told the troops that he belonged to village Hadi Marot of Surankot tehsil. He had been kidnapped by Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists and forcibly taken to Pakistan where he was forced to undergo training as a militant.

However, he escaped from the training camp and was leading a life of misery and poverty. Not being able to make ends meet and having no other alternative, he decided to return to his parent country.

"After giving humanitarian assistance to the family, the army authorities have now handed over the family to the district administration and civil police," the spokesman said.

As i m a pakistan lover my best advice pakistan should concentrate it's poverty,corruption,internal problems like Baluchistan,terrorism,political colops,weak money an economic, that's good for pak people and country economic ,then become powerful pakistan we go war,now better avoid anti Indian,anti American because they are giant countries,huge military,population as well economic power house,honestly think what can achieve against them..?lost three wars,lost east pakistan,kashmir,siachen,sirkrek ,got bad terrorist state image and country in the failed states list, For them pakistan a piece of cake...

Not gonna happen. The thread was reported for being out of Kashmir section which is supposedly the only place allowed for Kashmir related threads but the Mods seem to have allowed it to continue so that Pakistani trolls who are not senior members can get their jollies by posting here

Today I had an interaction with a Kashmiri who was in Srinagar and was interested in some service from us. I had a small chat with him but it was full of revelations. He wanted some items to be delivered to him in Srinagar and his address looked like that.

Upon asking what does IOK means, he mentioned - Indian Occupied Kashmir and it was a surprise for me that Kashmiris add "Indian Occupied" before mentioning Kashmir and more surprisingly, it was mentioned in the address. Now I got curious and I asked him.. okay what do you call Kashmir with Pakistan then and he replied, "We call it PAK - Pakistan Administrated Kashmir". Sweet!

He also revealed that he was longing to visit Pakistan but if he did, Indian Government would harass him and wouldn't renew his passport after it would expire. Now this shows to which level Indian Government feels insecure from Kashmirs and to which extinct it has gone to keep Kashmir under its occupation. Such a shame for a so call Largest Democratic Government of the world.

And he also inquired if we could delivery him goods from a different address than Pakistan. He mentioned that even reception of a parcel from Pakistan would give Indian Government a reason to pinch him. Holy God! If India thinks he owns Kashmir... what is this nervelessness and insecurity all about?

I wonder when he writes Srinagar IOK, his posts reaches on exact addresses or not or or end up in srinagar colony in hyderabad. or some other srinagar across india.Coz its IOK in his thinking not in indian postal department thinking.So indian postal department which misses the mails even when there is correct address on it or deliver it after 2-3 decades...he must be careful of his mails.

Btw either you are lying or he lied to you about visiting across loc.its easy to visit across loc then visiting across international border he just require a permit not even visa.only two things i can make out is...

1.either he is not interested to visit across or,
2. he is lazy enough to get the simple permit just at the border post which just like taking bus ticket.

he lies again or u r lied to when he says sweet stories about passport and receiving mails from pakistan...Arey if he dont write the correct address how can recive them to be delivered to him....simple commonsense...

Btw i do get my mail my parcel across border with in 48 hrs of being posted by courier or speed post. he must be most unluckiest lot i must saty.tell him better live in gwalior he will get his mails on time and delivered to his doorsteps from pak.Gai Gali main shor hai gwalior main schindia ka zor hai.

because we own the land, and he has the right to speak sence and any thing that defames the nation and the effort of the Army to bring peace to the land of Kashmir is rediculed, then he has no right to be there.

I do not think that if someone writes IoK in his postal address while posting a letter than that letter is actually going to be delivered by the Indian Postal Dept.It sounds absolutely foolish!!
