For HP anyone can buy property anywhere, you need to know the trick. And those who buys knows it.
Short, urban land within municipality if freehold, outside municipality you own the superstructure but land needs to be leased for 99 years just like Salt Lake. Agricultural land can not be bought according to books, but again there are ways out.
I worked with one of the leading real estate portal. But switched my job now.
It is the trick EVERYWHERE that these laws are in force, nothing new. Please look at the underlying principle; no transfer of property, only lease. To have known this, not to have been in ignorance of this, and still to have argued that there was no equating of the situation between J&K and these is quite a sad strategy to follow.
It is precisely the same in the other states that follow this, and here lies the hypocrisy of the 35A removal.
In J&K ALSO, this kind of subterfuge was known, and practised widely; there was absolutely no need to repeal 35A other than to show the Muslim majority that they were nothing.
If you want to know the precise act in each of these five or six states, you will get that also.
So finally it lands up where it was originally situated; the BJP committed an immoral act in removing in J&K a statutory bar to alienation of property.
How did it further any argument on your side? What did you gain by this sparring and fancy footwork?
