Kashmir remark sparks trade war between India and Malaysia: palm oil businesses suffer

Palm Oil is a commodity. It requires transport, it costs, and it's also about policies which surround control of export and import.

Tum kehna chahrahai ho kai Malaysia per India ehsaan karaha hai, and Malaysia is in return showing middle finger. Karlo jo karna hai, jistarah kai India couldn't do anything trade wise to China after every veto, they can't do shit to Malaysia. Go figure.
Lmao did you not read his reply about the share of Palm oil imports from Malaysia and Indonesia?

As we speak, India already withdrawn 5% tariff benifit to Malaysia...We have already figured it out...So even of we will continue business with Malaysia, we will get 5% more tax in the name of Kashmir from Malaysia ..

There is an even better angle to this. The Western European countries are considering a ban on palm oil imports.
Like petroleum, the time to sell your palm oil is now. Demand would likely reduce in the future.

There's a reason India imports from Malaysia this item. Like I said, no one is being merciful on anyone
Yeah, that reason is called AIFTA. That's how India started importing palm oil, Rubber etc... from Malaysia

It has nothing to do with being merciful, and everything to do with Malaysian PM's comments, you're trying to portray as if this will affect India, maybe it will. But this move is not about saving some millions, this is about sending a message. And I don't speak your language, so use English.

Give me a time frame, and save this quote. İndia won't cut off palm oil imports with Malaysia, infact the imports will still remain greater than that of İndonesia.

India will not cut the imports. It's foolish to do just because of a senile old guy who is not going to be around for long. Indian government realises that. This is just a veiled threat to tell Mahathir what can happen.

There is also an informal campaign on social media by some people urging Indian tourists to avoid malaysia in ther holiday plans

Won't do much considering the Chinese tourists outnumber Indians a great deal, and the numbers are also increasing....

I for one will holiday in Malaysia much more and I have urged many friends to do so as well.
The numbers of UK tourists are also high.

For 2017, the top 10 tourist source markets for Malaysia were Singapore with 12,441,713 tourist arrivals, Indonesia (2,796,570), China (2,281,666), Thailand (1,836,522), Brunei Darussalam (1,660,506), India (552,739), South Korea (484,528), Japan (392,777), Philippines (370,559), and United Kingdom (358,818).

Sad how no one in Malaysia criticized his Kashmir statements, huh?

Don't look at one source. Look at multiple sources.

Basing anything on internet comments is idiotic considering an Indians favourite passtime is LARPing as other nationalities. Just look at the comments of any DAWN article, or check the twitter profiles of all these Baloch and Pashtun activists that somehow read and write fluent hindi/tamil.
